I shouldn't neeed to be dragged, strictly speaking. Less I've had particularly rousing...anyway.

But I may be doing a couple of costumes for Ringo on different days, if sewing one mini skirt is easy enough then two shouldn't be that much worse, I figure/hope/am tricking myself into thinking. XD

Why in heavens name do you have nine costumes? Is that the total between the two of you and then....who gets an extra? I'm so confused. ;_;

So Saturday is thus the Air Gear day of doom? Sounds awesome to me. And we'll have to meet outside too so we can do some on blades poses for those who are doing blades for sure. :) A time set is definitely also a good thing to try and tie down now...how many other people already have other Saturday gathering...I know most of the time Saturday is the heaviest day for gatherings and what not. :( So we'll try and not conflict.


But then again, I so will NOT make it to anything before like noon. I can never get myself out of bed in time. :P

I'll be going as Claire Redfield in the Code Veronica costume...but Saturday is already panning out to be a busy day. :( So Maybe Sunday would be better? I'd rather not have to do three costume changes in a day. :(

Strangely enough, I'm looking for the entire group of people who sat down and played Apples to Apples with us both Friday and Saturday night(Saturday and Sunday morning?) That was way too much fun...drop me a pm if you know what the heck and I'm talking about so I can grab your aim and what not.

You know that one day that you just can't get a costume together for, and end up making a sign?

I propose that next year, those of us who resort to signs such as "How many glomps can I get by the end of con" or "My cleavage has been certified as a weapon. Sorry! (No boobies today!)" (guilty! >_>) can all get together and battle it out for the best sign EVAR. Because that's what we do.

Besides, it's not like we sign folks do anything worth of note otherwise. :P

My anime club is working on some cool stuff at the moment. We're doing a manga party(everyone brings a few manga and we just kind of chill out and check out what other members have.), and we're planning at least one movie meeting a month. We just watched CatSoup last week. We've also got some other activities planned, including Anime Debates(about characters/shows/whatever), Anime Pictionary, Name that Anime Tune, etc.

I have only seen one episode of the anime, sadly enough. The character of Vash does seem pretty wicked cool though, and I would watch more of the series.

I have satelite, and thus, no I-channel for me. It's not one of the things my parents thought as important. So now I just watch videos and DVDs. Le sigh.

The only problem with just saying that Americans need to develop a matured animation style that doesn't look like anime is that it's hard. You can't just remove the immense influence that's come from anime from the states. Though of course, there are still the old school marvel-type artists who draw amazingly, those artists can not say that have had no influence.

I would date either...

Washu from Tenchi Muyo. Mostly because she's so smart, and I don't think I'd get bored of her. Plus she's amazingly maniacal and that's a beautifully sexy traight.

or

Kenshin. Not that I'm into that particular anime that much, but just because it'd be histerical to watch all the other women fans like, freaking out and getting insulted and crap like that.

I know a lot of people who are very pro-Anime. w00t, yay anime, everyone party. BLABLA. Anyway, this is all fun and dandy. However, I've noticed that on this forum, there seems to be at least a little negative energy towards American Anime, or the idea that there may be a real American Anime. Is it an oxymoron? Plagiarism?

I don't think so. I think that anime is no longer restricted to any one culture or country. As far as I've heard, anime production is becoming a bit more globalised. For example, Code Lyoko was/is made in France. I have a friend who has recently gotten into the Korean anime movement.

This could be good news for some artists here in America. I have a lot of talented friends, but they're all uinsure about the concept of creating their own anime because of the stereotype that only Japanese people can create anime.

Opinions? Rejections? Glaring?

X-day is freaking awesome. My friend is one of those people with 90+ manga that I borrow as she let's me. XD I also like:
Princess Ai, Gundam Wing(there's a specific volume that I can't remember the name right now, but poo), Getbackers, Tenchi Muyo, Rave Master, Angel Sanctuary and various others that I can't remember. I don't really have a favorite though...that's hard to decide, you know?
