anyone going as rufus from street fighter 4?

Is anyone going as Rufus from sf4? I might cosplay as Rufus if I can figure out how I'm gonna make the suit. Any suggestions would be appreciated ;D

Can anyone give me a suggestion for making a Rufus (street fighter 4) costume? I can't do leather or faux leather like it's supposed to be, so I was thinking I would start with some coveralls, and make them have a tighter fit. Then add the details and all that. Would you more experienced costume makers suggest a different method?

I couldn't find a 2011 .hack advice thread, so I figured I should start one. This way all of the advice can be consolidated into one place.

Anyways, I am new to this cosplay business, and my friends usually go as a .hack//G.U. group. I wanted to join them this year, and they really want me to be gaspard. I can only find one other example online, and it's not very helpful. It seems like I'm the second american to attempt this costume  ;D. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good example, tutorial, some reference photos, or have any advice for this costume? I'd really appreciate it.

I'm planning on being a somewhat skinny version of gaspard, as i myself am not terribly skinny, but I am not going to make myself look almost spherical as the character does in the games.

I plan to go as Kazu, I have a potential Ikki, agito, ringo/mikan (undecided person), simca, and ume.

Anyone have a good source for the Kogarasumaru jackets and patches/stickers/emblems? I will need one as well as my ikki. Or if you have any good suggestions for material types, that would be much appreciated. I always wanted real leather, but I always hear about PVC as well. I want the jackets to be really awesome, and wearable as more than just a costume piece if possible. Would PVC be a suitable material, or does it just not cut it when it comes to durability?
