Hey! So when do we think that this meet-up will be? Usually it has been on Sunday sometime in the afternoon and was wondering when exactly it was so I can plan accordingly. Thank you!

The gathering will definitely be on Sunday so as not to conflict with the massive groups (ie. Pokemon, Disney, Shingeki no Kyojin). Last year it was in the afternoon, but we ran into trouble with the hot weather so I'm pushing for late morning.

At this point in time, I know more about Anime Expo which is happening in 4 months than I do about Fanime which is in half that time. This is frankly unacceptable. It isn't like you don't know the dates ahead of time, since Fanime has been held Memorial Day weekend since 2004. Hell, Fanime's dates in 2015 will be the 22nd – 25th.

Since the fiasco of 2013, I've seriously considered abandoning Fanime for conventions that are more organized like SacAnime,  and Japan Expo USA. At this point I'm only going for my friends and cosplay gatherings, since the masquerade was a joke, there were massive issues regulating the black and white ball, and I've had several bad experiences with rovers (I can't report a badge number if they wont show or tell me...).   Problems from 2011 and 2012 (I've been in 2 of the 7 hour lines) were not fixed in 2013, and with the current track record my expectations haven't raised one iota. 

Consider this your last chance Fanime Con. There are less than 60 days until the con. Your Move.

I hosted last year, but have lost interest in the anime/fandom. You are welcome to host one for 2014.

I'm trying to paint white onto a rather dark blue. I've tested a fabric medium with acrylic paint and I've tried both applying a thin portion of dimensional fabric paint directly to the fabric and also painting it on in layers. The acrylic with fabric medium looked the best but washes off and the dimensional paint looks glossy which I really don't want. I'm making the wii fit trainer and this is for the logo on her top. So it needs to be able to flex a stretch with the fabric without cracking.

I suggest using iron in vinyl instead. No color will bleed through and you can stretch the vinyl and fabric (a bit) once everything is ironed on. Also for the OCD, the lines are a lot neater and cleaner.

Hey I was wondering if anyone got a picture of my Lunatic Cosplay on Friday Night since I wasn't able to make it to the gathering on Sunday.

Ok One last information dump before I have to SWITCH to my phone where updating the forums is a nightmare. (aka practically impossible to do)

Remember that the gathering:

10:00 am -- The pre-release party begins, beta testers can start.
10:30 am -- The OFFICIAL gathering begins and everyone can LOG IN
11:00 am -- We move to the park area when the area gets flooded with Bleach Characters.
XX:00 am -- Gathering Ends and you all can LOG OUT.


Also Sword Art Online director Tomohiko Ito and producer Shinichiro Kashiwada are in the United States right now at Anime Boston (Fanime is better XP). If anyone has a twitter, lets use #Fanime2013 #FanimeSAO #FanimeSwordArt to try and grab their attention and show our support from California.

The weather is going to be 65~70 degrees. Don't forget to stay hydrated, and do not overheat. Bring Water! (Fatal Scythe: I'm looking at you)
