Dealers Room / J-List

i think j-list did have them.. if not, then the place that was selling all the CDs and L'arc~en~Ciel posters definitely had them too.

wow.. that's quite a deal for king rooms.

thanks for taking the time to post this up and taking your job so seriously! (:

for me, the walk-ons seemed to have worn their welcome when it got to the point where the set-up was often as long as, if not longer than, the walk-on itself. there were at least three separate occasions where i caught myself saying, "is that it?" i think someone in the main feedback thread suggested that walk-ons should be announced as such.. i think if the audience is expecting it, it won't feel like such a drag.

i don't want to kill your bandwidth looking for a pic of myself, so may i ask if your directory has a pic of an asian anna from "he is my master"? (i say asian because i know nessa was also cosplaying from HIMM :X)

two pages already!? =b

i'm thinking about..

- mikuru (chapter 00 "battle costume" ver. - see sig) from the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya <3
- pleinair from disgaea - i didn't finish this up in time for 2006, but maybe i'll get all that procrastinating out of the way by 2007.____.

Quote from: kndyIf you didn't go to the music fes...why was that?  (too many better things that your interested in was competing for your time against the bands performing, no interest in certain bands, etc.)

this is going to sound super lame, but honestly, from hearing about members rave about music fest in the past, i figured that i would have to give up an arm and a leg (not money-wise, but in terms of.. battling through the crowds and such) just to get into music fest. had i known that there would be a notoriously low attendance, i totally would have made the effort to go. i'm a hip-hop/urban fan, so poplar would've really catered to my tastes, i reckon. next year, if i am at fanime, i will go to music fest for sure ):.

Quote from: happyskyI really enjoyed Masako's perfomance during the Masquerade intermission.
I thought her name was Mai-yuu, but whatever her name was, I totally agree that she was great!!
sorry, that might be her stage name? i couldn't really hear what she/the group was announced as, but i know her as masako through someone else.. ^^;

Quote from: milkmandanthe water dispensers.....they were luke warm or room temperature..thats kinda..nasty....
does San Jose convention center charge for how many watts of power Fanime Con uses up per day?  it wouldn't hurt to plug the dispensers up to the wall to give COOL and refreshing water eh? ;)

i know what you mean about the marriott ones; i walked all the way over to the hilton several times because the dispensers over there had nice cool water (:

another thing i forgot to mention earlier:

I really enjoyed Masako's perfomance during the Masquerade intermission. I just felt bad for her because she (as well as Eugene and JC) was really great, but not many people were paying attention.. which is fine because it was an intermission, but I think they deserve some kind of timeslot or situation where they can have a fully attentive audience!

oh my god i would WALK to fanime for m-flo.

but onto realistic suggestions:

- UVERworld
- Konami people.. =b (Naoki was mentioned earlier)

Quote from: VanessaI tipped the maids around 50.00 the first night and was in heaven! Those ladies came before going to sleep and cleaned up, straighen out all our stuff, bought in new towels at least 3 times a day, I swear we were the cleanest people at the con with everyone taking baths around 3 times a day. The ladies even helped us carry out our stuff to our car...

Good times. Great housekeeping. Sadly the didn't speak much english, but they went beyond the call of duty.
$50!? Heck, I'd go beyond the call of duty for that too!! (;

P.S. Leroy, do you know if it's true that you can request a later check-out time without being charged extra?

There's a list on the fanime website, under "Dealer's Room".

1x Lotte Koala Strawberry Cream Things:  2.50$ (I think...don't know the real name of these things cause I can't read Japanese...)
they're called Koala no March, or Koala's March (:

I just wanna say I thought the rap was sorta out of place at a con, too, but I'm a big hip hop fan so I really dug it. But I guess family-friendliness is an issue.

I agree with Spiritsnare that Artist's Alley in the Exhibit Hall felt like Comiket! Well, as portrayed in Genshiken, anyway =b.

Also, I really appreciated when big events were announced in the Dealer's Room! I'd love more schedule reminders like this!

I booked with the Marriott either the first or second day we could reserve a room. I requested a low floor, mini fridge, and microwave. Didn't get the mini fridge or microwave, but I didn't need it anyway. As for the low floor, I got the 6th floor, which was totally within stair-climbing distance \o/.

Exhibit Hall 3 got it goin' on. Nice choice to move E-Gaming and Swap Meet there.

Also, although I didn't stick around, Stage Zero was nice.
