Attention all Evangelion Fans: Fanime 2023 is fast approaching. Usually I would have someone else working on this paperwork (looking at you, Fuyutsuki...), but as I have been asked to get the ball rolling sooner this year, I am once again risking the wrath of the will of the cosmos by hosting the Eva gathering (catchy title pending).

All Evangelion cosplay is welcome, including the TV series, the Movies, light novels, various Manga iterations, official character designs, fan designs and artworks. Evangelion cameos, references, crossovers and cosplay mashups with other series are also welcome. Some examples would include Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion and Super Robot Wars, both of which feature Evangelion crossovers. If we somehow get the chance to have Unit 01 vs Godzilla for example, I am all for it (or if all cosplayers that do the Gendo pose™ in their respective series want to jump in for that shot by all means, join in the fun)

Just checking in to say that we shall continue to plan for the gathering as normal this Fanime (if things change, then we of course will change our plans as well), and that the gathering has been submitted for the official gatherings list. Hopefully we will hear back soon  There has been decent traffic on the facebook page, though aside from a Gendo, a Yui and a possible PenPen, there have not been many cosplayers committing at this time. Hopefully that will change when the event time and day is confirmed.

On another note, we have a design for this year's election button! Yui and I will be handing them out to Eva Cosplayers and fans whenever we see them.

For the moment, we are lacking the necessary intel to determine the exact time and location of the event, but based on past patterns, we can assume the date of the operation to be Sunday the 24th. We will update the information on this post as it becomes available.

New Ikari 2016 buttons that Dark Lady Samael and myself will be passing out to Eva Cosplayers and Eva fans this year.

My girlfriend (DarkLadySamael) and I will be there as Yui Ikari and Gendo Ikari (though, since we have some Gendo cosplayers already, I may bring one of my costume variants like 3.0 Gendo, Lab Coat Gendo, or Beach Gendo from The Shinji Ikari Raising Project.

Count me in as one of my Kenpachi variants. I'm hoping I'll have time to do an upgraded version of my original Kenpachi costume, as my old spike-wig/hair-helmet is all kinds of dead. If not, I may bring out my Arrancar!Kenpachi for teh lulz. =3
