Okay! Here it is! I've finished the Saturday & Sunday FanimeCon 2011 video featuring the FINAL FANTASY GATHERING ON SATURDAY & the VALVE GATHERING on SUNDAY!

I had a friend take over for when I was posing for the Valve gathering and I had several friends who were actually in the Final Fantasy Gathering (Snow and Sahz)  I didn't think I had very much good footage of the Valve Gathering but I was surprised to see I actually did get a lot of you guys in there!

I'm glad I met you all, I wish I had spent more time with you guys before and after to get some really good posing and B roll, but that will have to be for next year.  Please feel free to leave me lots of feedback, it keeps me going since I did this with a crappy lens and zero budget. xD

Prolly a good 15-25 hours of editing for all days from day 0-4.
A good 3-4 hours of rendering.
And a hand full of hours proofing and getting it decent.
another 2-4 hours uploading to youtube and vimeo.

Thank you for this. I don't have almost any pictures of myself at the Con because Half Life is pretty much dead lol.

Okay guys, I can't believe I spent 8+ hours on this 4 and a half min vid, but I did. This is Day 0 & Day 1 of FanimeCon 2011. I hope some of you see people you recognize (or EVEN BETTER, you are IN IT!) The video is KINDA nsfw so if you are at work, I would wait till after work.

I also linked a few photos from flickr with the video, please let me know what you guys think of it. I had a blast meeting some of you from the valve gathering and was totally blown away by the amount of work that went into some of the cosplay! Can't wait to come back next year.

Okay guys, I have a special treat for you all...tomorrow. I just finished editing a Day 0 and Day 1 of FanimeCon 2011 vid. I'll post a link here tomorrow with a few Day 0 & 1 pics connected with flickr (possibly). I'm very busy so next week I'll have Day 2 & 3 which will have our VALVE gathering (mostly photos as I had a friend cover that part for me)! I put about 8 hours of editing for a 4 and a half minute video. Hope you guys enjoy it. I'll post the link tomorrowz. :D Make sure to leave some comments ESPECIALLY if you are in the video!

Was awesome seeing you all again! And as last year, Avi did a fantastic job of organizing. I especially loved the hat trading snap, hahah.

I didn't get that many photos because the LAST thing I want to do is lug around MORE stuff while I'm holding a rocket launcher, so if you've got any pictures of me and/or my medic (I'm the RED soldier gal), I'd loooove to see them.

I already can't wait to see you all next year :D

Haha, I remember you! You were the girl with the EPIC rocket launcher! You were with the Medic right? You guys made the guns from scratch right? I've got a few pics of you I had my friends take. Right now I'm editing a few videos out of the footage I got from Fanime. I'll post a link to the photos later. I have a ton of questions for you about how you put your cosplay together as well. I wanted to take you out to lunch so we could talk about it I was so impressed!

WOW, that was my first con EVAR! I've got to say I'm hooked. I came with a bunch of buddies and I had a friend use my camera to get photos of the Valve meetup. I'm backing up the photos as we speak. I'll try to post some photos as soon as I can. Thanks everyone, you guys really did an amazing job.

The weather has been inconsistent the last two years.  Fanime '09 the weather was unseasonable cooler; in particular, the entire Bleach gathering was cloudy and cool.  Fanime '10 was unseasonable warmer than usual with highs in the upper 80s.  IIRC, Fanime '08 was warm.  The weather is not summer SoCal Los Angles Pyro flamethrower hot lol! ;)

San Jose weather has been on the cooler side this year.  It rained last week around Mon May 16.

Thanks for the heads up, yea weather up here in Nor Cal has been pretty inconsistent as well. It was in the 90's last week but it rained the other day. o.0 I'm hoping it stays in the 70-80's when I get down to San Jose.

Going to be dressing up as a resistance rebel from Half-Life 2.  8)

Nice, I won't be the only rebel. :D

I've got a quick question, anyone know how the weather feels this time of the year in San Jose? I'm further up Nor Cal and it's starting to get hot. I'll be in a HL2 Rebel costume so I can imagine things will be warm, I just don't want to go running around smelling like sweat lol. This is my first time Cosplaying and my first time in San Jose so any answers on weather would be great! Thanks guys, I'm so excited!

Haha, never mind I found a thread that answered my question.

Hey there, this will be my first FanimeCon EVER and I'm a big Hl2 fan. I wanted to represent a decent rebel. So I'll be showing up as one. Still waiting on a few items to be shipped in. Can't wait to meet everyone! Have there been many people dressed up as rebels in the past?
