I'll be at the Fanime artist alley this year and its my first time selling my art ever.... So I'm pretty stressed  :-[ Does anyone have any advice? Things you pros know about selling art at Fanime?


Also do people have requests for prints? Popular series, styles etc.

Well.. I personally have never stayed in the hilton or marriot due to them getting filled up as soon as they go on sale plus all the horror stories about how rowdy the people are, bad experiences with elevators, etc. I've stayed at the saint claire which doesn't get filled up quickly and is right across the street to the right of the con, four point which isn't that well known by the con goers so again it has lower rates and doesn't get filled up and its a bit of a walk but honestly worth it.
My boyfriend and I are staying at the saint claire this year because the rooms are nice and its a beautiful relaxing hotel with a classic feel and there probably won't be a bunch of crazy teenagers screaming til 2am.

Hi Everyone! I'm considering staying at a hotel this year for FANIME despite living in the bay area because... I have a bad habit of staying late and driving back home half asleep. I want to avoid that and be able to relax in a room between events instead of wandering around the convention center all day.

I wanted to know what were the rates last year? Is there a place where I can see this? Also which hotel would you recommend? I'm honestly leaning towards the hilton and mariott so I can game till 3am but I'm worried about price... I'd be staying there thursday till monday >_<);

I would also love if the artist alley and game room swapped places, and I LOVE the gaming room but it is weird to have that much empty space. As for the swap meet I always found the section in the middle awkward anyway.... The best places are on the walls for sellers and buyers.

I'm getting my PhD in Clinical Psych and I love anime and Video Games. I was thinking that I wanted to do a panel about anime and psych or video games and psych but I'm not sure what.

One thing I thought about was presenting about the videogame subculture and how it relates to psych since I did that before but.. the one I created was for psychologists who knew little to nothing about video games. Basically I'd have to reverse it giving more information on psych topics and less on basic video game themes...

Do you guys have any ideas?

I thought I had already bought my badge since normally I buy it months in advance. But today when I was looking for my info I couldn't find it! Now I'm thinking I'm going to have to buy a badge on site which sucks but to make matters worse I was planning on selling at the swap meet on Thursday... which I can't without a badge!! Right?
