I hope someone snagged a few shots of my cosplays,
since I seem to fail at doing that on my own.
Thursday: Android 18 [ DBZ ] [ ref ]
I was in the swap meet selling things with my Android 17.
Friday & Saturday: Karkat [ Homestuck ] [ ref ]
I had a black sickle with a white stripe on the outside with me.
I was running around with a grey Equius, most likely being very loud.
Sunday: Kneesocks [ Panty and Stocking ] [ ref ]
I was with a Scanty, and we were wearing their school uniforms during the evening.
Later we changed and my Scanty was in a white wedding dress and I was in black and white formal attire.
If anyone has any pictures of anything that sounds familiar above,
It would be awesome if I could steal them from you, with permission and credit given of course~

Did you get me?
Friday: Ghost and Wolverine/Logan
Saturday: Ghost and Wolverine/Logan
Sunday: Black Cloaked Ezio with a Lightsaber
Monday: Ghost from MW2
Thank You!!! ^_^
Quote from: Aelia on April 03, 2011, 11:45:52 AMI have a question about the bat thing, what if it is a wiffle ball bat or a bat made out of paper mache and then painted or treated to look like wood. would either of those work?Quote from: Rank on April 03, 2011, 03:29:51 AMGoing by our props policy, it is still a wooden bat, and the answer should be no.
In 2009 I cosplayed a character with a baseball bat, but the bat was a home-made REPLICA bat. What I mean by that is, the dimensions are smaller than that of a factory baseball bat and it is not made out of Oak/Birch wood, it's made out of Balsa wood (the kind used for model air planes). It's very light and somewhat fragile and if dropped on a hard floor might actually snap.
here is an image of my prop: http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z105/psyrate/fanime2009/badgirlprogress6.jpg
It looks like it could be real, which obviously is the effect I wanted. But I was wondering, given the actual construction of my prop, is it allowed?
Quote from: Brutal on April 09, 2011, 04:59:52 PMI am still just a rookie, but I don't think noise would be smart, as in if you make a noise that sounds like a gun in the middle of San Jose or in the middle of the con center, it could possibly start a panic and get you in trouble. I would really recommend Aelia's suggestion of molding a wooden or styrofoam gun, or modding a water gun and leaving a few parts obviously fake, including the tip. I would also recommend the handle, where your hand can cover it if you are posing, but when it is holstered, that it is very obviously neon/clear see through and FAKE. This gives you less trouble from various rovers, and will make fanime easier for everyone and happier overall.
What if it makes noise? I'm trying to find one for kids so it's not threatening but they make noise.
I'm having the hardest time trying to find something x.x
How about this
Quote from: JohnnyAR on November 09, 2007, 07:17:30 AMheh, doesn't always work. Some people take that as a give chase signal, like with dogs. >.< lol gah, If i wasn't so tired i'd write up some basic rules for glomping (I like to glomp, but not harm people, so I know a few basic rules of thumb that are kinda common sense, but whatever) gah, tomorrow I supposeQuote from: Miradori on November 08, 2007, 08:13:27 PMQuote from: Emerge on October 23, 2007, 11:04:34 PMideally, yes. But the glomper holds all the responsiblity, and there are plenty of glompers who don't listen. So your ideal honestly is out the window.
IMO, the glompee is equally responsible as the glomper. if the glompee is aware of the potential tackle, said person can simply give a heads-up, and ideally it would be avoided.
Has anyone tried running? XD Surely I would.
Quote from: otakuapprentice on November 08, 2007, 08:24:45 PMbad idea, I guarentee you, it would devolve into an orgy. At least if the people who I know show up it will XP
i think they already exist; people were wandering the halls on sunday night carrying/holding "hug me/glomp me" signs, and they were there in droves.
how about a little corner(and i do mean little) in the hallway set up so if people wanted to be glomped/hugged/whatever, they go stand there and wait for said hug/glompage so they dont end up blocking the walkway; call it a "glomp corner", if you will....
Quote from: Stormfalcon on November 02, 2007, 07:51:01 AMYES! EXACTLY WHAT I WAS SAYING!
re: the signs thing. What would be better would be that those who want to be glomped bring their own signs stating so. Otherwise, it would be safe to assume that the person in question does not want to be glomped. No expense to the con whatsoever, other than coming down on those glomping folks without a sign giving permission.

Quote from: otakuapprentice on October 24, 2007, 08:21:00 PMI'll make the pamphlet/flyer! I'll hand them out next year too! *nod nod* "Glomping: How To's and What Not to Do's...srsly we aren't playing football"Quote from: Glitch on October 24, 2007, 08:18:29 PMman, there needs to be a how-to vid on glomping...or some sort of pamphlet.
Didn't we already discuss this chick in the Suggestion thread? Thread over, kidding.
Of course I'm not sure if it's still over there. It doesn't hurt to discuss over again due to safety issues.
