ok so apparently Bleach is going to be shown at fanime - what day i am not sure. but i think it would be kinda cool if before or after the gathering we could get all the Bleach cosplayers into that screening room, where ever it is, and watch it together :D what do you guys think?

It is all day on monday (starting midnight sunday..) in video room 5.

I bought my shinigami outfit-feels ashamed- especially when I have fabrics gathering dust in the closet. It took my for ever to work on my mask and sword though.

Whatever works for you-- hope you got a quality item! Besides, those of us that commission appreciate folks that buy them. :D
I know the feeling about the sword, I think mine stole some of my soul while I slept. You'll see this thing, you'll know what I mean.

Sharpie won't run in water, though, unless it's extremely heavily applied or didn't originally dry.

Ah, yeah. Sometimes it sucks to have to drop stuff, but time gets in the way. there's never enough of it to get everything done! I do resolve to never be working on anything once I arrive, though-- I know people do, and that just boggles me. XD Too much con-stress.

i totally know what you mean - all this weekend im going to be working on my cosplay. i gotta make the vice captain armband and finish up my hakama and shikai this weekend. gah so much to do with only 9 days left >.<.....

I thought you wore this costume before--- you have to remake the hakama? o.O;

Hey, guys. I'll be attending as Kuchiki Byakuya, and I'll have my yaoilicious comrade-in-arms with me as Renji. So, if you happen to stumble across a Renji and Byakuya behaving in a decidedly odd manner, that'll be us^^.

Hopefully our Rukia can make it. That way we can beat up on all the Ichigos she deliberately flirts with.

Will you be dressed on Saturday?

OMG no it's not; I need this next weekend to work on it! *agh!*

right now i'm waiting for the paint to dry, but they are the shikai forms and i'll probably just end up using a nice long pieceof red cloth for the rope and i'm going to make the 5 seals that are supposed to be on it.

My ukitake cosplay is coming along great. Worked on my swords yesterday with a friend who's going as shunsui and we gor both our swords finished as well as a special surprise tat we'll be bringing to the gathering

Shikai forms? What'd you use for the rope on Ukitake's, out of curiosity? :)

But as far as Byakuya, im having a hard time gettin a plain katana, (this is with or without a blade).  Any suggestions?

I think it'd be awesome if you made just the hilt, and brought a few bags of red glittery confetti to toss a little bit in the air around you (when outside, natch). XD

hm... ok sounds good. THx for the tips. yea theres not much i can do for byakuya's shikai with the missing blade, so we decided to make the entired thing outta wood. So no blade but sheeth and hilt all made outta wood. Its gonna be tough but, making stuff is half the fun.  BTW are any of you planning to be there on sunday?

If I'm there Sunday at all I -Will- be in bleach ^_^ probabably a good chance I'll show in the morning at least!
Any chance of any Ishidas or Orihimes going on sat or sunday?

As for my choice of char, I made my hakama last night... still working on pieces that'd work for either character choice, hehe! So still pending. :)

yay, possibly another Renji besides myself XD and i've never seen a Mayuri cosplay before - that should be cool to see if you do that one ^^

I normally try to avoid doing the same char as others, ever since a friend of mine got the GLARE OF DEATH from another cosplayer for doing it. ;.; But I think it's fun to pose with others! ^_^
I hope to know pretty soon which I'll end up doing: kinda depends on if a friend decides to do Nemu to accompany me. :) Crossing my fingers on my ability to coax, BWA HA HA HA.
