Eric.  About 5 or 6 times the first few days, to which they never really came around and I gave up.  I think they got mad at me once for cheating the cleaning card on ID4 to get it running, that's all they ever told me besides that they'd be back in a few hours (which they either were and didn't fix anything, or just weren't).  Iunno, I was pretty busy all con but I didn't see them around.  There weren't a lot of complaints because they bring their stuff in top condition, but I just hold them to a high standard because of the quality they've shown me before.

Dave, where's this coming from?  I believe after you asked me if it was okay that you were calling I said that it was fine.  We always want to hear as soon as possible when there is a problem.  I did forget to email you with the Mushi numbers so I'll send you an email.  Thanks for letting us borrow that board.

As far as problems go, Greg and Heather did a great job as arcade staff.   They were able to take care of most of the problems immediately or contacted us quickly.  The few things they couldn't take care of we handled pretty quick. The only problem that took a little time to fix was the ID4 card jam.

As far as Pop n Music Fever goes... Thanks again to Dave for offering to let us borrow the board.  There were some wiring and power issues that we ran into and we were not able to find time to do a big conversion.  We did test the board at the end of the con and was able to get it working on that cabinet so we know it can work in the future.  It will take a bit of time to setup though.

Quote from: otakuapprenticejust curious, but are the games that are listed on the first page the final list of what there is going to be, or is there going to be a change of what is going to be available?

There may be a few changes but that's pretty much what you can expect.

Thanks for signing up for the board, OCEguy.  :3  I was wondering, can we expect to see DanceManiaX at Fanime?  That's the one thing not on the proposed list that I would love to see confirmed for the con.

No Dance Maniax this year.  I'll keep that in mind for next year.

Gaming / Custom Sticks: anyone interested?

Hey all,

I just read through this thread and thought I could throw in my 2 cents.

My company is going to be the one bringing in the arcade games this year, so I can give you an operators perspective on the Sanwa stuff.  As far as durability goes with joysticks, the 360s will last the longest, then the Sanwa, then the Happ Ultimate joysticks.   As far as buttons go, the Sanwa buttons seem to last longer than the Happ buttons.  I'm saying this based on our experience using them in arcades.  In any case, they will all last a very long time for home use.

Also if you are looking to buy any Sanwa buttons or joysticks or any arcade parts, we will be selling parts very soon at  www.ocearcades.com  In the mean time, we are taking orders through email at [email protected] If you are looking to buy soon, email me and I can bring parts with us to the convention.  We are almost sold out of our Sanwa buttons so let me know soon if you want any.

I just want to point out that this is not an issue of just us not being able to find one.  NOBODY will have SuperNova until June if not later. (the one exception being the test piece that's somewhere out there... Chicago I believe)

DMV and GFV are for sure, unless they fall off the truck or something. Knock on wood.

Metal Slug 5 will be MS 6 instead.   Stuff like that.

Also, it looks like DDR SuperNova will NOT be out by next week.  They are supposed to go into production the first week of June.

2) Tournament list: its coming. Whats the delay? We've been requested by upper management not to conduct any tournaments that arcades will have on site. This had a huge impact on our tournament planning and we are working to the best of our abilities to get this finalized ASAP. To note what games were affected, by what I know already, is Soul Calibur 3 and Tekken 5. I'm rechecking the arcade lists against our tournament list.

Hey guys, I'm the arcade operator.  You guys are free to run tournaments on ANY game you want.  We just ask that you not have games that are in the arcade available for freeplay during non-tournament times.  And of course no tournaments on our arcade games.

DM will be V for sure and the GF will be V and sessioned.

We'll have an adjustable stool there.
