Hi, I'm thinking of picking up my pre-reg badge today and I wanted to know if I happen to still be in line by the time badge pick up is supposed to be over, will I be turned away? Or will they cut off the line at that point but still let the people who are already in line pick up their badges?

As expected, every year a female has to start a topic to gain attention and talk about the creepers doing creeper things. Really? Creepers? Is there not another overused word that can be utilized? LOL.

And as expected there just has to be someone trying to gain attention by making a condescending remark that adds nothing to the conversation, mistaking rudeness for cleverness.

@Freud - That was rude. I could understand if some people may feel disappointed that they can't get a photo of a cosplayer they like. Assuming a cosplayer is being a stuck up bitch because they refused just speaks strongly of bitter photographer who can't handle the rejection. I don't think he realizes that cosplayers aren't there solely for his entertainment.

Anyone got pics from the black and white ball?  I'm not asking for photos of me specifically, just the bxw ball in general.

I just wanted to thank everyone who was apart of this because this place was really great. Being able to sit and interact with other cosplayers and getting help fixing my costume was wonderful.  Thanks again! :)

I've never been to one of the TB tea parties before (always had to do something else after the TB gathering) so I really wanna try to make it this year, if only to witness Abel drinking 12 sugar tea with my own eyes  :P

Hi guys!  Can you sign me up for the gathering too?  I'll be dressing up as white dress Queen Esther of Albion again this year (you might remember me from AX).  I'm trying to get my friend to cosplay her black dress Queen Esther too but she's being difficult  :P

My friend is planning on cosplay Little Sister from Bioshock.

Is this outfit appropriate?  I know there's blood on it, but she is wearing a dress.

I'm only going to be at Fanime one day this year and I'm going with one friend so we won't be pre-registering.  I'm planning to wake up early and get in line early to purchase badges at the door.  Since I don't think my friend wants to come early with me to stay in line, is it alright if I register for both of us and pay for both of us?  Or does my friend need to be there with her ID and confirm her name and such on the registration.  I've never registered for anyone other than myself so I don't know what the rules are for registering multiple people.

Marriott! (if no plans change)  :D

btw, does anyone know if marriott has a designated check out time and check in time for rooms?  I remember when I stayed at Circus Circus hotel in las vegas they told us we couldn't check in until 11am and had to check out by 11am the day we left.  I was wondering if other hotels, especially the marriott, are like that, too.

I saw a few kids dressed in bleach cosplay last year (*sooooo* cute) and they were probably 10 or even younger, but they were accompanied by their parent.  Fanime has a lot of stuff more suitable for the older people, but I think, with parental supervision, younger kids can still enjoy it and take part in it.  So I think you and your friends should be fine.  I've been going to Fanime since I was 12 and I never really had a problem with it.
Are you and your group planning to go by yourselves?

-not being able to book a room =___=  This is my first time booking a room for Fanime and I really hope I get one
-getting glomped; thankfully, I've never had that happen to me at Fanime (and i hope it stays that way ^__^ )
-not having a place to sit for lunch;  I don't mind sitting on the floor too much in a circle with my friends, but a table and chair would be nice
-having my costume fall apart; that sorta happened to me before >.< it was not cool

The best thing that could happen at Fanime for me is being able to do a awesomely elaborate cosplay like Trinity Blood or something and being able to meet my favorite musician or artist at the guest panel.  ;D

Does that mean Fanime took all the rooms that aren't reserved for special use?
Because I'm planning to stay at mariott for Fanime weekend but not through the Fanime registration/prices and I was wondering if there would be any rooms left for the public that isn't registering through Fanime.

I have a question about this statement

"They are not offering up any additional rooms to FanimeCon, so once they are gone, there is nothing left."

Does this mean Fanimecon took up all the available rooms at the mariott hotel and there would be no more available rooms for people who aren't booking rooms for the purpose of attending Fanime?  or does that just mean that Fanime wouldn't be able to ask for more rooms if the contracted rooms got sold out?

Regarding passport as identification, would an expired passport be ok?

Sorry my question is not really related to ID policies, but I wanted to know when are badges ready for pick up?  Will they be ready at least a week before con weekend?

What does "contracted room" mean? Does that mean that those rooms are specifically reserved by Fanime for fanime attendees?  Does that mean that there are more available rooms that haven't been contracted with fanime?

Your first definition is correct.

It is the number of rooms that we have contracted to sell to our attendees.

We normally request from the hotels all available rooms that they can offer us, however, all hotels have a certain amount of rooms that they have to hold in reserve for flight crews, executive members and others.

Does that help?

Craige...

Yeah it does. Thanks a lot.
