People cancel their reservations all the time, if you just keep on it you can probably find a hotel room easily on the site itself.

Sure - start a relationship with people in the department, let them know you can't help this year but would like to next year, and follow up in a few months when planning for 2009 begins!

Its hard to gage all aspects of the details of the coming years; but on a high level we have many things planned out for the next 3 years at least. :)

I've used my school ID since my first Fanime :\ Okay yeah, that was only 3 years ago, but I've used it every year since.
I personally think it's a little unreasonable to expect a hardcore ID (by which I mean license, state, etc.). I always thought something official-looking (like school ID) with your picture and name would be enough, but eh.

As I said before, registration staff will say

"Official state ID, WE MEAN IT!"

every year, but if they actually enforced it, they would be facing a huge portion of their demographic being very VERY pissed if they got turned away, and rioting would probably ensue shortly afterwards.

So, try and find someone over 18 with an ID to vouch for you or something, if not, try not to worry about it too much.

"Officially" (legally) we can only accept State issued IDs as School IDs are not legal IDs.

There are obviously other ways to verify identity which are not necessarily publicized, but knowing all the information connected to the registration account is something that would be good to know. (email address, mailing address, fan name, etc...)

Personally I think it'd be a lot better if we could have objections with Staff. ESEPCIALLY staff who are less then...admirable :evil:

there are already methods to deal with staff issues, it should be brought up to the Division head of the said person.

. As for myself, I'll be floating around until another department needs me. I like to think of myself as the Mary Poppins of departments.  :P

They were awesome! i'm glad that they could come back, it was one of the few events i was able to make time for while running around.
