In regards to the Lolita panel last year, I'm glad a lot of people went despite it being on the very last day (Monday). Apparently, some people said to me that it was really popular. Unfortunately, as much as I loved working with everyone, I don't think I will be attending Fanime this year because I'll be at Anime Expo instead.  Hopefully someone picks it up and makes it just as fun as last time's :)

Thank you everyone who either came to the panel or participated in it! Despite lack of real organization everything came out perfectly! Pictures of our panel can be found on LJ community EGL or on ca_egl. Jeanine was nice enough to post up pics that she took for us~

Quote from: Kazuhide Aeiji@Spiritsnare: who was that guy that racked up a 48 game win-streak?

He's from central U.S (the term escapes me).

Didn't quite catch a name though. He played Satsuki.
Wow, a non-southern californian. Wonder if he's going to be there on Sunday.

And just as a side note, I heard that the guy left of his own volition, rather than losing to a person (because he didn't want to be a prick, I heard).

edit Accent Core is now online, last I heard through a call to Tsubasa just five minutes ago.

What a nice guy~

About Accent Core: SWEET. I AM SO THERE TOMORROW. (probably costs 50 cents...some well spent 50 cents fuhuuhuuhuu)

Quote from: magzJust an update for those that haven't been to the con yet.

The current fighting game lineup is as follows:

CVS2
Third Strike
Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star) (BTW, nobody plays this game. Replace with Slash!)
KOF XI
Guilty Gear Accent Core (Does not work yet. Needs new joysticks/connectors? Hopefully fixed today. Send to SJSU after Fanime >_>)
Melty Blood Act Cadenza Ver. B (Not B2, I'm pretty sure. Send to SJSU after Fanime >_>)

Oh, and Tekken 5. Not sure what version.

OMG THEY HAVE ACCENT CORE!? Damn. There goes all my spare change. Guess the dealer's room isn't gonna see much of me. And dammit all that SJSU is going to have the AC machine. SFSU already ditched Slash for XX and that made me sad panda :(

@Spiritsnare: who was that guy that racked up a 48 game win-streak?

I'm surprised they have Melty Blood. I don't play much, just watch MTP play...who doesn't even play anymore *shrug*
But I will be there for Slash. (whahaha, coming from the loser who still has/plays XX, I'm an easy win)

I'm gonna hope I don't spend too much on DDR/Guitarfreaks/Slash...still need to buy myself some quality GG doujin  :D

I'll forward my cell # to everyone on Friday, as I will only be attending Sunday and Monday (I don't have enough money to attend the whole weekend).

@babytealeaf: Make sure you tell Jessica (lailah) that. I'm sure there's still people who need outfits.

I'm sorry, but it's probably because she's prioritizing that people actually have an outfit first and also there's a high volume of Sweet and Gothic lolita, so the other styles get pushed out. I'm actually volunteering for boystyle but I want to change into my sweet lolita clothes later. If you want I can lend you an outfit or two (I have a sweet and a gothic lolita outfit but they're not exactly brand), but most likely they'll only fit a size S-M in american size (well, it said on the tags "free-size").

I wonder if anyone is still planning on bringing this to console gaming...even if it's not an official tournament or anything. Casuals would be great.

Oh, that's unfortunate....I'm sorry. No worries, maybe next time :)

I still need some people behind the scenes, so if you can make it that would be great. Otherwise, don't worry about it. Thank you so much.

The only disappointment I feel is that Metal Phyzix isn't performing and also I can't see anyone on Friday because I'm not going that day :(

Other than that, I'm surprised they got Crack 6 to play here.

Quote from: babytealeafI just found out that I will have that day off for sure, so yay ^_^

And I have a sweet lolita skirt and a pair of rocking horse shoes that someone could wear.

I wish I had rocking horse shoes T_T
my feet are too big...

I wish I weren't so clumsy T_T then I could probably wear them properly without tripping all over myself.

@babytealeaf: go ahead and bring those because someone's bound to forget their extras and whatnot. Plus I think it would be fun if I can try a pair of RHBs before I decide to save up for one XD.

Quote from: Nina Star 9i would have to ask my mom if monday at noon is okay. she seems to like to leave the con fairly soon, but if the panel is that early, we might be able to squeeze it in. how long would it be? sticking with the original hour that was discussed a bit on LJ?

(by the way, i would be willing to bring an extra gothic lolita outfit if anyone wants to borrow it. i also have two or three pairs of shoes that i can bring- platform (5" or so) mary janes good for more gothic styles, a pair of smaller (3" platform or so, but that's small for me) mary janes, and i have a pair of 4" or so heeled mary jane platforms that would also be good for a more gothic style, but i might wear those with with the GA outfit i have planned.)

It will have to be an hour or less otherwise we'd cut into another panel's time and wouldn't be good. So we're just crunching and condensing things on LJ for now, I have people working up the outline too.

(Thank you, we need some extra clothes as people have informed me they don't have any...but thank you so much for helping provide wardrobe. I couldn't find people to willing do that.)

Quote from: Kazukooowaah I have mary janes X3 and I'll bring my IW headress

oh i just got two more people who want to be models :3 my two friends

Just send me their contact info or have them post on LJ.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Murasaki_kaze on LJ has posted up a vague outline of what the panel will generally follow but would also like some input as to what else we should mention/not mention ect. Here:

Quote from: Nina Star 9sorry, i have been very busy and without internet access all weekend.

is it too late to e-mail a picture to the fashion coordinator? also, since i do not have my outfit finished, would i still be able to participate if i submitted a sketch and then an actual picture once i get it finished? (it won't take too long, all i really need to make is a simple skirt and a waist cincher, i have everything else done, which is good because i still need to finish my prom dress by saturday, and then my hand-sewn cosplay by fanime. XD eep.)

Yeah, no problem. It's still a bit early right now and I'm sure she's pretty busy too. I'll be contacting her about what we're going to do.

BTW: ANNOUNCEMENT!! Our panel will be held MONDAY AT NOON. For those who can't make it let me know RIGHT away so we can get this together ASAP.
