For Rock Band, is it bring your own band? Or just hope that other people want to play with you?

My friend Jay and I will be looking for at most two people to join us in our room.

In intend to book at the Sainte Claire, check-in on Thursday and check-out on Monday.

We're looking for two people over the age of 21, who don't mind drinking and such, but aren't crazy party people. My ideal con roommate situation involves everybody being able to geek out and have fun, and have a chill place to go to and get some sleep and BATHE! :-)

(And to note on the age thing, it's non-negotiable. Jay and I will be drinking, the reservation will be under my name, I don't want to get in any trouble with any potential underage drinking. At all. End of story.)

...FLEAS?  :o :o :o

Yeah, seriously? That's disgusting...I would ask for a refund or something. *shudder*

Or leave them a nasty review on Trip Advisor.

Proper complaints have been filed with the hotel management and with the Diamond Certified rating people.

But yeah. Fleas.

Due to my own procrastination I got stuck booking at the Fairmont this year. And at first I was kinda happy about it, the rooms are way bigger than the other hotels, and it's a freaking Fairmont, they come with this certain ritzy reputation. And the whole proper afternoon tea service thing just seemed really nifty. And it was close to all the food.

But then we checked in. The toilet flushed funny, the handles for the bathtub were falling off, housekeeping never showed up, even though we called for them several times, we ran out of toilet paper, there was no wireless internet and once we wired up it took a ten minute call to their tech support to get it working right, and the minibar thing was totally inconvenient, and the tv was old and we couldn't plug in a dvd player or anything and our coffee pot had to be in just right before it would start. Oh yeah, we also got eaten alive by fleas. One of my roommates even found one hopping across her sketchbook. Plus the parking was expensive as were the hotel bar/restaurants.

So I'm not staying there next year. Or ever again.

Next year I am so TOTALLY going back to the Sainte Claire. I wanted to go in and tell them how much I missed them after checking out of the hell hole that was my Fairmont experience.

That sucks that you missed fanime, but thank goodness you're not too injured. Have you been to the doctor's at all? If not go as soon as humanly possible, get x-rays and get thee to a chiropractor.

Back in November I was in an accident where an old man ran a red light, hit the driver's side of the car, flipped it to the side and I went sailing into a fire hydrant. It totaled my car and I had some nasty spinal injuries. The chiropractic and physical therapy helped enormously and you may feel kinda okay now, but if you don't get it looked into these accident injuries can cause some serious problems later on in life. Also, how well insured is the driver, and does he have a lawyer? (at least for the rear ending) Because the at fault party's insurance should pay for the medical of the driver AND the passengers. A lot of insurance companies will try to make blanket settlement offers before things are really done with in order to save money on their end, but you, your boyfriend, the driver and any other passenger you had deserves to get the medical attention you need, so make sure your bases are covered! Sorry for rambling at you, but having been in at least 6 car accidents I've learned a lot about these sort of things ()^_^

I stayed at the Sainte Claire, and the hotel was beautiful, and the remodel improved some of the bathroom issues from the year before.

My only issue was I requested a king room, and was told none were available and was given a queen instead. That and one of the days the people next door had a screaming infant. Not so good when trying to catch up on some sleep, but it's not like you can tell a baby to "shut up".

I stayed in the Hyatt Sainte Claire, and I absolutely loved it. I didn't book through Fanime housing, as I made my con plans rather last minute. However I was able to get the con rate non-the-less, and their room service was great, the staff super nice, and matinence and housekeeping prompt. (We had slight toilet issues after three people and mexian food and needed more towels at one point and it took them only 10 minutes to get them up to us.) Hell, they didn't even ding me for the soaked pillow after my roommate drunkenly slept in the tub one night. (Plus, the bathrooms have really awesome ceiling art.)

I'm staying there next year. I don't mind walking across the street in costume.
