Hotel and Facilities / Check in question ^^;

Just a simple one, really... Um, when you check in, do you just give them your name and ID? Also, how do you know if you have a hotel room reserved?  Do they send out an email just before the con or just the confirmation email that you get when you register online?

Yeah, I called the hotel itself and told them I was coming in for Fanime.

I called the Marriott myself just a few minutes ago and told me that I could check in at any age as long as the reservation is under my name and I have a valid government ID. I even told the person I was 18.

I just gave the Marriott a call over their policy, and they said that you have to be over 21 but you can get a Fanime representative to vouch for you when you check in.

Wonder how that'll work...

Wait, you serious?

A sort of postcard I think. And I also think it's not available right now.

I'm staying at the Marriot, so I'm hoping they'll be kind to tell me what's going to be charged and what isn't. At least I don't have to worry.

Oh, wow. I'm lucky I'm getting a ride there, but I was just wondering since I'm splitting the cost with a roommate of mine, and I don't want him to pay up extra money just in case the bill goes over what the email said it would cost.

So I can use the sheets and towels and stuff, but stay away from like... the water and everything else?

Ah, okay. Thanks for helping!

So this is the first time I'm ever staying in a hotel. When I reserved, I got the total cost of the room, but I noticed that the email included a note saying that the price was subject to change.

Now, I know this means that there will be extra charges for like drinking water or using their towels or something. Is there any way to keep the price as it is without having extra fees? Or do I just not use anything at all?

Also, just to make sure, how old do you have to be to check in a room?

Thank you.

You don't need an ID to buy a pass at the desk. ID's are only for pre-reg.

Orz I have a lot of questions...

So I have an ID, but it doesn't have my address because we moved a few months ago and we're going to move in a few months which is why I don't want to get a new ID yet. Will it still work? The address is different, but I'm in the same state and city as the address in my card.

Ah, yeah I did. Thanks!

Hm, question~

I reserved a room a couple days ago for Saturday and Sunday. It's included in there, right?
