I hope it lasts for... forever. o.0
Or at least until I die. xD I'd die happily if I could die at Fanime.
Wait, that'd just be awkward... Oh well.

Every year, it gets bigger and better. Fanime has yet to reach the point of "when do you think this should end?"
:3

VIVA LA FANIME-DAY. ^^
Thanks.

Edited:

What year do you think Fanime will go to? I'm just wondering, I'm thinking of going in the future.

Alright, I've only been to one convention but in general I'd make sure not to eat anything that's going to make you feel like crap and not want to walk or feel sick. I'm not talking about eating Junk Food all weekend but just anything that you think will make you, I wouldn't take the chance. Because if you get to feeling sick on Friday or Saturday it won't be much fun, will it? ;)

Alright, thanks for the info too! ^^

Something that many people don't do is tip the maids for their hotel. I always try to leave a few dollars tip each day when I go out, but I know many people who DON'T do this.

Food, really depends on what you're eating. If you're here for four days, are you eating McDonald's and Jack-in-the-Box everyday? Are you eating room service food? I'd say make sure you have MORE than enough for food, because you can always use the extra money on Monday right before the Dealer's room closes or what not. And be prepared for high prices in the dealer's room. What I might suggest would be to look at prices in the dealer's room on Friday (and only if you think you HAVE to have the item, and it WON'T be there by tomorrow, buy it) and then compare prices and goods in the Swap Meet later that night. But remember not to go over-board there, as then you won't have any money for the Dealer's room the following days.

All in all, be prepared to potentially spend a LOT of money, but have fun at the Con!
What exactly is the Swap Meeting? I only need about $100, maybe $200 for the Dealers room. I'm good at not buying things I don't really need.

I'm sorry about that. I didn't consider it depends.

For car rental or bus, there's really no need. The hotels are all either connected to or within walking distance of the con, and there's restaurants nearby.

The only travel expense will likely be getting from the airport, and it's about a $15 taxi ride (with tip) or I believe $13 for the SuperShuttle, which goes straight from the airport to the hotel doors. That's assuming you're flying to San Jose. If you're flying to San Fran (like I am) it's $39 for SuperShuttle and about a hundred bucks for a taxi.
Oh my gosh! Thanks! This helps a lot.

Alright, so the main thing for me for not going is finances. Can anyone help me add up how much this would be, mostly all of you that have been going for years know a good idea of how much everything is. I'm positive this is the right Forum now.

Let me edit this.

Cosplay- $200
Badges- $150
Transportation- $26- Thanks guys! ^^
Food- $200
Dealer Room- $100- I'm glad I'm pretty content about spending my money. ^^
Hotel- $200

Is there any other expenses I forgot besides the Airline Ticket?

Doesn't this thread belong in the cosplay forum?

Anyway, this is what i've seen so far from all the cons that I've gone to here in California, Washington and Virginia:

Naruto

FMA

Bleach

Kingdom Hearts

FFVII

Death Note

Everything else below that, it's not REALLY HOT like those series are. Those are my top 4 and the top 4 which I have actually banned in my head from taking pics. I've seen them all.
I know, I saw that after and was like oh shoot. XD Wrong Forum. Thanks. ^^

The age range varies quite a bit. ^^ And it's actually quite fun, even if all you're doing is just walking around sometimes. The attendees at Fanime are quite wild and creative.
What is the variety of ages? I know, I was reading the Events Page and I was like oh my gosh this looks so fun!

Alright, thanks everyone. ^^ Yeah, I definetly know those are going to be some top Cosplays.

Just wanted a general idea. Also are there a lot of different age groups there? This would be my first year going. I feel like such a Newb compared to everyone on their 4 year and up. XD I hav to see if I can handle it though.

I was just wondering, I may be going and just wanted to see what are common Cosplays? :) And what is everyone going as?
