I know fanime is coming up soon...but I am planning to be in town that weekend and would love to drop by fanime for one day. But the memories of last years line on Saturday gives me nightmares :-[ :-[ It's too bad one day passes aren't on presale but is there any way the registration process can be improved??? If I'm only going to be there one day, it's such a waste to have to spend 5 hours of it standing in line. I know it's not something Fanime can control but it would be nice to have set ups to cover for worst case scenario - printing problems, etc. Also, I counted less than ten laptops last year to cover one day registration for hundreds of people. It just isn't enough!  :-\

This is my first fanime and I am really interested in making some purchases in the Dealer's Room. I wanted to know if there is a diverse array of anime/manga represented or is it more like what is popular at the moment. My taste is kind of varied (Sailor Moon, Samurai Champloo, Bleach, Naruto, Vampire Knight, etc.) so I am wondering if I'll be able to find a little bit of everything.

This sounds fun! This will be my first fanime so I am looking to try all these different things people are setting up. I would like to go as Hikari from Special A this year. I don't know if Special A is popular to do - didn't see a specific forum for it. If my opinion is of a bit of importance, I would like to nominate Sunday at 6pm

Oh nooo...college + upcoming finals have reduced my stamina and athleticism to almost nothing. Thanks for your enthusiasm. I think I will be the only one there doing SA -_- good and bad thing I guess. But I just realized I want to cut my hair soon, possibly before fanime, just because I always cut it around this time of year. That will put my hair length somewhere between Hikari's and Akira's. Ehhhh tea and snacks is sounding a little more appealing now than wrestling now that you mention it >.<

Shinigami men's association! I laughed so hard when I saw that at the end of the episode. And Iba was in it too, which I pointed out to my boyfriend because I still want him to cosplay as Iba =D

This is my first fanime and first time cosplaying - very exciting =]

I plan to go as Rukia from Bleach (common, I know)
and Hikari from Special A (it seems kind of obscure for a cosplay but I really enjoy the manga. Anybody else doing Special A? )

Sorry to add on but I didn't feel like making a new topic though I have some questions as this year will be my first fanime.
1) If I'm going Friday, what time should I get there? (I've already preregistered)
2) Will a program be out online before the Memorial Day weekend? There seems to be lots to do that it seems like  I will have to pick and choose what I want to do.

Kon plushies in different styles to add to my collection, wall scrolls, and some cool t shirts would be nice

Yay, I convinced my boyfriend to come cosplay with me. =] Can he be added as Tetsuzaemon Iba (7th squad's vice captain for those who are not familiar with his name).

What about wall scrolls? I was planning on finding some at fanime this year and I wonder if those are subjected to counterfeiting as well. I already have some but never thought about how to distinguish a real one from a fake one.

This will be my first time at fanime and cosplaying. Can I be added as Rukia (school version). I wanted to keep it simple since this is my first time and don't have much time or resources. Not sure if I can drag my boyfriend to the gathering so I hope can meet some friendly people there. I'd be really interested to see if anyone shows up as some of the less-featured shinigami like Nemu or Kira.

This sounds fun. I hope you guys are successful with your gathering. I would have liked to do a Yuuki Cross cosplay but seeing how I am not sewing-inclined, I wanted to buy an outfit but they rather expensive even though they look nice.
