It was my first year staffing as well as my first year at Fanime, and even though I didn't get to see much of the con, I can say that I had a BLAST.  Meeting new people, making life-long connections was well worth missing some events.  Go reg staff <3

I'm planning on going to AX in July (staffing at one con is enough for me), but I'm still waiting for my Fanime badge refund to help with that purchase...HMMM...wonder what's taking so long..

Or you can check out www.megabus.com  Buses leave twice a day, starting from LA Union Station, dropping you off at the location Rei-Rei stated earlier.  It may be cheaper depending on how early you book, and a much less shorter trip. Last time I was on the bus the driver only took 5 hours *_*

Yes, I have read it.

I don't run with either. =]

Oh I've already read the series so far, i just wanted to brush up and remind myself why I liked it so much... but yeah...the whole Mary Sue thing with Bella was just, blah.

How do you peel a banana? From the top or the bottom?  Which part of the banana is the top or the bottom?...And do you peel it as you're eating, or like in cartoons where monkeys peel it completely then start eating...?

Love Twilight, just saw the trailer...

Although when I tried reading the first book again several days ago, I had to stop because well, I really got sick of Bella... ^^;

My friend most definitely did not get possessed after he did it by himself.  I believe only weak-minded people can get "possessed", although I don't really know what that consists of...  Besides, isn't it more fun to do it with a buddy than by yourself?

Yes you can make it out of a sheet out of paper.  I've done it numerous times in my high school chemistry class.  Of course...after you're done with it, you have to BURN IT!!..

Just kidding you can crumple it up and throw it away. =]

I'm assuming you mean ouija boards?  I've used them before, you can actually make one yourself and use a coin or some kind of object as the planchette.  Just take a piece of paper, write yes/no, letters and numbers along the bottom.
With me, they sometimes move faster when I play with a certain person, and slower with another.  My friend, who is a hardcore Buddhist, played once with me several months ago, and we discovered that the planchette could move with only him playing.  I've never been able to have it move without having another person's finger on there.

I don't really get too into it, like believing what it says all the time.  Actually I don't take anything it says too seriously. :)

First thing I thought when I saw this...

1960s! BEATLEMANIA!!

When stuff like that was exciting...nowadays it seems hard to find something that I'll go absolutely NUTS over.

I've just been checking out the maid outfits on bodyline and thought they were really cute. Konmoni, have you had any experience ordering from them? I noticed they only listed a set of measurements for each outfit, and I wasn't sure if it comes in other sizes.  I'm reluctant to order from them, even though I really do want to.

Does anybody else have experience shopping at bodyline?

Also, I only found the japanese website, is there a sister website in english?

Sorry rei, I haven't any experience ordering from Bodyline.  I ended up getting something from cosmates...  I've been looking terribly hard and the things I've found are either too expensive or the style isn't to my liking.  I spoke with Sydney at the first meeting regarding cosmates and she said outfits from there were fine.  As long as the skirts are not too short (I forgot how the trainers put it, but the length should either reach the tips of your fingers or further down?), there are sleeves, no cleavage showing, b+w...

From what I see on the website, there only appears to be two sizes: M(S) or L, and I don't think they custom tailor.  Do you know what your measurements are?  I ordered one of the dresses in a M(S) size.

As for another shop, you can check out http://www.milky-ange.com/html/catalogue/maid/maid_mini.htm  They're a little pricier, but they ship internationally.  You can go here for specifics on how that works - http://www.milky-ange.com/html/informationdesk/intlfaq.htm
I might order a headdress or katyusha from there, or try to make my own -_-;;

Hope that helped!

Yes, speaking of maid outfits, I'm curious as to where people will be getting these from.  I've searched cosmates, candy fruit, as well as bodyline and several auctions.  Is it just me or are some of the maid outfits on bodyline cheaper than the exact same ones on cosmates?  =\

Hi,

I was wondering if there was a staff meeting today.  I see in the first post that it'll be at 3pm in the Convention Center.  Can anyone confirm this? I'm not officially on staff yet, and I'm also wondering if it's too late to join... We can attend the meeting if we're interested anyway, right?

Thanks!
