This will be my first time attending Fanime (actually, my first time attending an anime convention, period), and I was a little confused regarding the 'Cosplay Chess' events listed...
What exactly is it, and who can attend/join? Once again, apologies if this is an old or common question.

I'm going as a Pikachu Girl, with a bit of a jpop/techno spin to it. Overdone, prolly, but still fun. I was planning on doing Atoli from dot Hack//GU, but there's no way I'll get it done in time. This will be my first convention, so I'm very exicted to see all the different costumes...
