Well, due to all the positive feedback, I've decided to go through with my plan to broach the subject to the staff.

I was going to go to the Fanime staff meeting today, but it's been canceled, so that's a no-go.

Perhaps someone here could tell me what the forum handle of who I should speak to about it is? Or, heck, if your reading this, just drop me a message, either here or by PM. This might take a bit of planning to execute gracefully, and I'd like to have words with em'.

        Tl;dr - A multi-day puzzle/scavenging based competition with increasing difficulty taking place for several hours every night of the con.

         So, a group of my friends and I have been wanting to run an alternate reality game for some time – For those of you who don't know, it's kinda like a Live-Action role play, except without so much role-play involved, as you play yourself – And, recently, all of us having played The World ends with You, have seen an opportunity to run something, in a condensed period of time, that would let a lot of people enjoy it, and offer challenges and fun.
   This is an interest check for the idea before I bring it up in any official capacity. Here's a basic rundown of what I'm suggesting, here;
   On Friday, folks could sign up to be players. Everyone who signs up will get a shiny player pin, along with the rules of the game. Late that afternoon, the players will gather somewhere, and the rules gone over. Then the night's mission will be assigned. It'd be a combination of riddles, scavenger hunting (for things we've planted, something we'll have to figure out a good way to do without having them messed with, but I'm confident we can overcome that obstacle.) and some good old-fashioned sleuthing.
   The first however-many people to complete the mission would go on to the next mission, which would be held the next evening. If you absolutely can't make it, you can give your player pin to a friend who can stand in for you. The second mission would be designed to have a higher failure rate, and there would be chances to get knocked out of the game along the way.
   Sunday night would see the third, and final, round – The top few Players would square off in a last mission, with the top player, and perhaps a few others worth special recognition, getting a prize.
   And, naturally, everyone would get to keep their player pins.
   As an aside, we have a few ideas on the boiler for getting Players who get knocked out back into the game (against their former comrades), and we've kind of got a conflict-resolution system bouncing around, allowing for resolution without getting Players hitting each other (or reapers!) with fists, sticks, swords, buckets, Sockem Bopem's, tables, folding chairs, and whatever else is at hand.

   If something like this was offered, who'd be interested in playing it?

Edit - Added Tl;dr and poll for ease of consideration - 10/26
