I have two spaces open in an already booked Hilton San Jose room, the price per person is $116.25 and the room is booked from Fri. May 22- Mon. May 25.

I ask that only those who are staying all of those days reply because I don't want to go through the headache of evenly dividing prices for those who only want to use the room certain days.
I would prefer:
males (since this room is for the guys)
personally responsible/reliable people
no alcohol/drugs/inappropriate behavior (making others VERY uncomfortable)
NO STEALING- theft will result in being kicked out of the room w/out refund
We do not condone any criminal acts of any sort.

The other two room mates are male teens 15-17 years, the room is booked under me and I'll actually be in another room. (I will not be doing physical check-ins).

Payment is as follows:
1) through pay-pal in advance (<-----would appreciate it)
or
2) in the lobby of the hotel on Friday May 22, 2009 right before check-in

no money, no key simple as that. The price $116.25 is the final price, because the room is booked so the price will not change at all.

If interested or need more information, please contact me at:

Serious Business / Re: America: Officially in recession

I think that's the deal with it, the "consensus and support" needed has to come from everyone, not just those who noticed the problem and were already doing something. The public got stuck in the moment right before the top blew off and really couldn't get the momentum it needed to starting turning things around.

We need an FDR of the millennium, even though another dust bowl isn't imminent, the recession is bad enough, and parts of California are rationing water as well. Wonder why we always wait until it gets really bad to do something?

friend and I are in as well! No clue what her screen name is but she knows about this already. Since we're all going shopping before Fanime I'm offering to get food that is wanted in particular that I know and am able to get for those who know they're not able to get for fanime. buah FOOD! XD

Count my friend and I in as well! Fanime 09 will be my first time. We might be able to bring stuff, anything wanted in particular?

I think as long as the food is in a container and not spread about on the desk/table area it should be okay.  We brought cups of noodles in the box and a grocery cooler cart for our other food and kept all of it in the corner under the telephone table.  We also brought a hot water pot to plug in.  Bought it at Ranch 99, something like 2.5 liters.  If you have a coffee maker in your room, you could try heating the water in that.

We also brought extra plastic bags to put our trash in, since the trash cans in the rooms aren't that big.  Just to help keep things a little neater.

I think you have to ask for a fridge and if there's one available, you may get it.  I don't remember if the rooms at the Hilton come with refridgerators.  That would be a nice addition to the renovations, though.

you were able to get a water boiler in there? that's great! we were planning that we just weren't sure if there would be any problem with that or not. Thanks!

Hello,

I will be monitoring the forums these 2 days before the Convention and will try to answer any questions or concerns regarding The Hilton in San Jose.

Please post your questions and/or concerns...

Thank you for choosing the Hilton San Jose and we look forward to servicing your needs during Fanime!!!

Because we're spending most of our time and money on the convention, we're actually going to be bringing in dry and preserved foods that can be stored at room temperature, would that be a problem? And also are there water boilers or anything that could be a water boiler? Are there refrigerators in every room?

My only concern is that my friends and I won't be able to eat the food we bring.

i had a falling out with my ex girlfriend. she and i have gone to the con as friends for the last four years. im lost when it comes to going at it alone and cant even imagine being alone in the hotel. i may ask for you to pay for some of the cost but as it ends up i might just pay it all. what i want is somone who wont steal from me, is generally cool and will just keep me company when we are both in the room. no gender or age restrictions. my only requirment is that we meet up to get to know each other first. i have to like the person lol.im a male, if you have gone to the convention before you may know me as jesus

OMG you remember Sam and Kelley right? they want to go to fanime too but what happened was Chan and my group were able to get the stuff together faster so I was able to get a room, but they are left without a room, is it possible if they room with you? There's also another guy who wants to go to fanime as well but he only knows us ^^ wanna make a full house with them?

Chan's got my email as well
