You have to specialise in something. I've seen almost every major mecha anime since Uchuu Senkan Yamato (I count space battleship anime), although I've slacked off with the latest batches of fairly boring mecha anime. Code Geass was pretty great though.

Who else here likes shows like... Gold Lightan, Fang Of The Sun Dougram, Votoms, Dragonar, Megazone, Patlabor, Macross, Dendoh, Cyber Formula GPS, Srungle, Orguss, Southern Cross, Machine Robo, God Mazinger, Dorvack, Bismark?

If theres more than me, we should find some short-ish show to marathon at Fanime. I'm getting Ginga Sengoku Gunyuuden Rai (Youtube: Thunder Jet) in HK format, which means nearly indecipherable subtitles, but there are also some subbers doing Dougram out there, which is a fantastic old real-mecha show.

If you tell me Machine Saurer is as cool as I know it is you get a brownie point.

I understand. If even 5 people spilled their beverages all over the dealers room the cost would far outweigh the benefits of such a deed. And yeah, it'd be taking money away from the people who are supposed to be providing beverages.

Ideas and Suggestions / Singles Event.

Last year there was a workshop to help guys chat with girls. Really good idea. I wonder if there was a similar workshop but meant to help girls? Both genders are equally in need of such things.

Has there ever been a singles event at fanime? Like a little chaperoned speed dating event or a 21+ cocktail party? They always say it's good to find someone you have the same interests with. And so you would think Fanime would be a great place.

You all know how dehydrating the line for the dealers room and the dealers room itself can be. There's only maybe two machines that dispense unsavory $5 soda in the entire complex.

I have an internal frame backpack that can probably carry around 14 six packs, and you can find soda on sale at Safeway or places that sell Western Family brand for $1.60 for a six pack. So, backpack full of soda would be around $20.

What do you guys think about me loading up my backpack with soda, putting a FREE SODA sign on the back, and going about the usual fun of the dealers line and the dealers room and whatnot?

Moreover, what do you think of getting a fairly large number of people in on this? It'd be a great way to give back to the community, and good excercise too. It would probably be a good way of meeting new people. And everyone's more fun, and has more fun, with some sugar in them.

I'm fairly set on the idea myself, it seems like it would be fun.
