I was thinking about his the other day. I'm really into a series called Lupin III, which used to air on Adult Swim a few years back but was taken off the air after 25+ episodes were shown (and Geneon dubbed 79 episodes before the company went down the drain). It's a great series, but no one seems to know about it (or care about it) any more, which makes me wonder:

What's the best way for a (somewhat)unknown series to gain a bigger fan base? Word-of-mouth? Internet memes? Discuss.

I know I shouldn't be reviving dead topics, but I wanted to know if anyone would still be interested in a Lupin III cosplay meet up? I'm thinking of showing up cosplaying Clarisse from Cagliostro.

Back in 1979, about thirty years ago, Hayao Miyazaki made his directorial debut with Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro. Even now in modern times, it is considered to be one of Miyazaki's best films, as well as one of the greatest animated movies of all time.
