General Convention Discussion / Most Memorable Fanime You've Been To
« on: July 30, 2013, 07:43:22 PM »
This is asking what has been your most fave of the Fanimes you've gone to over the years.
2011, 2012 and 2013 have been a blast. I can't seem to say why, for some reason. But this year, I got to see the Sharks/Kings game as well. :D

Live Programming and Events / Game Show Panels?
« on: May 13, 2013, 04:27:12 PM »
One thing I love about anime cons are the game show panels that take place; will Fanime have any in 2013?

Things in the Universe / What's your dream job?
« on: January 27, 2013, 11:52:20 AM »
We all have dream jobs out there; what's yours? This thread aims to answer that.
Me, either a sportswriter, sports announcer or a DJ. I seem to be well-suited to those three.

Things in the Universe / Any sports fans?
« on: January 27, 2013, 11:47:07 AM »
Say, I'm wondering how many of us here at Fanime are sports fans.

I sure am! I do like the teams of the Pacific Northwest, though, being from there. I like playing them, as in sports, when I can, which isn't too often....... I love MLB, NHL, and the NFL (the NBA, meh).

General Convention Discussion / Your Fanime 2012 photo albums
« on: June 04, 2012, 12:54:13 AM »
I don't see a thread for this, so I might as well make one.
This is a thread for all of you who want to share your Fanime 2012 memories, with your own photo albums of the pics you took.

Here's mine, if you happen to see yourself in any of these pics, feel free to tag yourself. :)

General Convention Discussion / Places to eat
« on: April 07, 2011, 08:21:48 PM »
I am wondering.... since this will be only my second Fanime- what places nearby the SJ Con Center are there to eat? The nearest In-N-Out is quite a ways, so..... anybody got any clues?

Things in the Universe / Listening to music at the con
« on: April 07, 2011, 08:10:00 PM »
You know, one way I love to enhance my con experience is bringing my iPod to the con itself, and listening to it during lulls in the con.

What songs do you like to listen to? I have a menagerie of stuff, mostly pop/rock from the 1970s to the present day. One song I've been listening to lately a lot of Metro Station's "Shake It".  :D

General Convention Discussion / Fanimecon shirts
« on: April 06, 2011, 03:37:40 PM »
I know that pretty much any con I go to has official con shirts, but I am wondering: Why doesn't Fanimecon have their own shirts? If I could, I would love to get one myself. Who's with me? :D

Things in the Universe / Any sports fans out here?
« on: March 28, 2011, 01:12:18 AM »
OK, admit it, you are also a sports fan in addition to being an anime/manga fan. So here I go.

I love all things LA sports, despite being from Seattle. The Kings, Galaxy and Dodgers top my list, and it's hard for me to not get excited at watching sports.

I also try playing them, but it's more fun to watch them then to play, IMO. That's just me, however.

Live Programming and Events / Game show panels
« on: March 27, 2011, 10:25:41 PM »
Every con I go to, I see these panels pop up at least a few times.

Are there any game show panels at Fanimecon? If so, what are they? I love them soo much! :D

Happy Things in the Happy Universe / Inviting SJ Sharkie to FanimeCon
« on: March 27, 2011, 10:20:17 PM »
I thought, as a hockey fan, and despite the fact that I am mostly a Kings fan, FanimeCon should invite SJ Sharkie, the Sharks mascot for an appearance there. I mean, the con is close to the HP Pavillion from what I gather, so why not?

Who wants to get SJ Sharkie to the con? :D

Things in the Universe / Introductions!
« on: June 01, 2010, 08:00:20 PM »
I'm not entirely sure whether there is such a thread for these already on these boards, but in case there isn't, I thought I'd start.

I am Johnny. I am 23 years old, living in Seattle, WA- and I love anime/manga, Japanese culture, sports, 80s music, comedy, video games, game shows, and a few other things I can't put my finger on. I am a very energetic and enthusiastic person, and my two fave NHL teams are the Vancouver Canucks and the Los Angeles Kings.

Anyway, I came to Fanime for the first time this year, but I was only there Saturday. I had fun! I was the guy in the LA Kings jersey. I was just excited to be there! :D
