"What did they even use the Marriott rooms for this year?"

The 3 rooms they usually used for Hentai/Yaoi continued to run the regular video programming until 2AM. however they were closed from 2AM-8AM

If you recall last year they gave out tickets for the for the first two hours of the hentai and yaoi rooms at the convention center. Those tickets were gone pretty quickly ( they started sitribution at 10am each day). This year the first two hours were ticketed as well. I noticed that there were plenty of tickets available at the video room table late into the afternoon each day. So I think tha attendance was probably down this year at the Doubletree

Regarding ReLife, they did show the correct episodes. The program scheduled indicated that they would be screenings the OVAs, which are the last episodes.

A couple of comments:
1. The policy regarding access points was in effect last year as well.
2. I registered when it became available late last year and paid $55 for fanime 2017

They offer a special rate for Fanime. I believe I paid $99 a night at the Marriot this year. That does not count taxes and parking.

As usual, the video staff did a great job this year.  It was great to have larger rooms for viewing.  Only a couple of glitches--one involved trying to use a Mac mini to screen a Blu-ray disc in the nostalgia room.  The second occurred a few times, each involved the Crunchyroll episodes--the video would seem to stall occasionally for a few seconds.  Not sure if this is related to the video or to the computer.  But, thanks again, Jerry and staff fo another great year of anime at Fanime!!!

If you go to this website:

http://www.fanime.com/registration-faq/

It states:

"What to bring if you paid online:
Valid photo ID such as: a student ID, passport, driver’s license, or state issued photo ID card
Confirmation E-Mail with QR code/barcode that was sent to you after membership payment"

So it sounds like they will  take the QR code if you registered under the old system

Open the pocket guide in the Issuu website.
On the bottom is a box with the facebook, twitter and ;other icons (i think they call it the "share" box). Once you that you will open a place below for sharing that includes a download option

Thanks, Eric, for enabling downloads of the pocket guide.

At certain times of the day the bathrooms at the convention center are in terrible shape. Most important is a lack of toilet paper. I always put a roll in my backpack, just in case

insane David- agree that with a movie they should run the end credits. I think the reason they cut off the end credits on episodes is for time. They are trying to show 5 episodes in 2 hours. If the episode is more than 24 minutes, you start running late.
