Oh, the gathering's on Friday? Take me off the list, then. It's pretty much confirmed that I'm not going, anyway. Even if I were to go, I'm still in high school, and there's no way I can go on Friday.
i'm also in high school and i'm attending fanime on friday o.o you can just go after school :)

Big Event Showcase / Re: FLOW at Fanimecon '10 MusicFest

I apologize if this question has been asked and answered here or somehwere else, but i'm brand spanking new to fanimecon, and wanted to know does the weekend long pass include the '10 musicFest stuff, because I'm basically there to see Flow, and would die if I went and needed another pass of some sort. Again I'm sorry if I'm posting about an answered question or in the wrong spot.

thanks. :D
since you have a full weekend pass you can attend any fanime event :D including FLOW's concert.

no cameras? D:
i wonder where i'm going to put my camera then . (no car, no hotel room, since i live in SJ and i can't drive yet)

@ayame_nguyen: Are you not going to be there on Friday completely? because I pushed the time of the gathering back for people that were arriving as well for people getting out of school.
I will be there on Friday but I wont be there until around 4.

Ideas and Suggestions / Re: The hug line
« on: April 15, 2010, 09:48:04 PM »
For me it was a little scary seeing a writhing mass of people begging for hugs but due to my gigantic wings and spear I didn't recieve any unwanted hugs which was really nice. It was really intimidating having to be forced to go pass them when you wanted to go shop cause you couldnt just avoid it plus i'm extremely timid, socially akward, and embarrased when wearing my costume til I get used to it, and having to waddle past a giant crowd of people wearing giant blue feathery wings toating a spear makes me almost feel like they're staring at me as I walk by in my underpants. But a big thing that also bothered me about it is I have to bring my dad to these conventions and he doesn't care for anime whatsoever and during 09 he even told me that he was " sick of all these f*cking freaks" which really made me sad because i'd like to maybe at least get my dad to enjoy going with me to cons because its really the only father/daughter time we have that's doing something I like and not going to sporting events and what not.. But when he sees shirtless people and people wildly hugging and begging for hugs, for him, an outsider to all of this, its basically like a massive orgy or somthing so the huggers really don't help me plead my case that cons are not as bad as they seem and makes him not want to allow me to attend cons for fear of getting kidnapped and molested by said freaks. > _ < so for me i think it'd be really nice for the hug line to not happen next year or for them to have a designated area for hugging out of the way of traffic in a nice tucked away place or somthing

i understand you. whenever i wanted to go to the dealer room i was a bit scared to go because of all the people. i agree it should be moved else where. or at least some rules should be made about the lines, like keep your clothes on.

this looks intresting XD
i might be naoto if i can find some good reference pictures.
does anyone have a reference pictures?
please reply ASAP. so i can decide and buy the wig. thanks!

Also the photoshoot seems like a good idea since there's not very many of us.
only problem - i might not be able to stay very late. also friday i don't get off school til 3 and i probablly wont get there til 4 :/

i'm sorry but can you take me off the list? if the gathering is on friday then i wont be able to attend :(
i have school.

i will be hatsune miku magnet verison.
and my partner who'll cosplay as luka magnet might come too.

UVERworld! <3

What cosplay are you planning?
That would help alot in us being able to give suggestions specific for you.  For general carrying stuff around I thought I saw another thread about bags and other stuff.
I plan to cosplay as Kagamine Rin, Hatsune Miku magnet verison, and Himura Kenshin.

If you are traveling by plane and you are cosplaying I would recommend a garment bag..that always help so your cosplay outfits are not totally wrinkled when you get them out.  As far as wigs would go normally they will go in any suitcase, but I would definately put them in individual zip lock bags.  Another tip is to style your wig BEFORE you actually pack it, that will save you a looot of time.  Cosplaying and taking a plane is a hassel ...cause you always have that WHAT IF bug in the back of your head praying to GOD the bag with part of your cosplay is not lost..LOL :P

oh i life in San Jose so i don't need to take a plane or anything XD
i'm talking about like what to carry my stuff in at the convention.

General Convention Discussion / what to carry
« on: November 19, 2009, 08:33:03 PM »
So i've only been to fanime once and this year 2010 will be my 2nd year.
does anyone have any tips on what to carry  stuff in? cause isn't it hard if you're going to cosplay too?  ???

last year i only cosplayed 1 day and i wore shorts underneath so i would have a place to put my phone D:
for 2010 i'm planing to cosplay all days. i can't leave my phone at home since i need to call someone to pick me up. nor can i leave my money home.
if i did i'd starve  >:( i don't have a hotel room either so i can't leave it in the room. i live too close to get a room.

i will be carrying like my phone, money, camera and stuff like that.
do you have any ideas for me?
thanks~  :D

Ideas and Suggestions / Re: Cosplay Changing Room!!
« on: August 04, 2009, 03:03:45 PM »
as cool as this idea is.. there are two hotels that are attached to the convention center.. lol why not just go back to your room and change. you'd be able to refresh yourself and snack in your room while you're there as well.. o.o and in your own privacy and whatnot..

and like someone else mentioned, who would wanna carry around their cosplay anyways>? xD

not all of us have a room. lol. i live in SJ and it only takes 10 minutes by car to go to the convention. it's kinda of a pain to get my parents to drive me all the way home to change and then come back. for me a hotel room is a waste since i can sleep in my own house for free.
