What sets are they from? I'll be sure to pick some up.

It's a bit late to add this but I have to go with The Claw from Gun X Sword. There aren't a whole lot of other villains that hug people to death.

* Big Egyptian Religion test on Thursday
* Make con schedule
* Buy jerky/dried fruit
* Various homework due next week
* Hit the gym; eating out every day is going to hurt.

Probably retro games or shmups.

Looking forward to some quality Time...Crisis.

It's a fighting game about ninjas, so naturally it's hidden from the schedule.

Agreed. I love me the Hsien-Ko.

Online is a forest of color-coded Zero/Ryu/Dante teams (blapck). But I main Arthur, so I don't really mind anymore.

I know that feel, bro. Not only is this my first convention, it's also going to be the first video game tournament I didn't organize myself. I'm double hype.

Glad to hear the weather's not so hot. Lugging a heavy backpack around crowds in the heat is not exactly something I'm looking forward to.

I think group registration was discouraged because of the high application rate to the event. If you have one large group that signs up for speed dating, a lot of other people get relegated to the wait list.

Yeah! Definitely!

I'm not sure when they'll set up e-gaming, but I'm totally up for a few rounds. I want to work on my Doom game.

Moving into the realm of 3D...

I just got Tekken 6 a couple of months ago. I got distracted when MvC3 came out, but it's pretty fun. I'm considering maining Lee, I like light, fast characters in this game.

I am. Fortunately, that works far better for me than Sunday, as I'm entering the Mahvel tournament at 6.

For some reason I got two e-mails, one saying I was registered and another saying I was on the wait list.

Was the same thing sent to everyone on the wait list? Or did I accidentally apply twice (because I sent another e-mail after the address changed)?

Had to resend my e-mail because I accidentally used the one from last year. I hope this doesn't hurt my chances!

The only Western TTRPG I play is Aces and Eights.

You. You are my new best friend.

I'd be interested in some Deadlands myself.

When you say "First come first served", do you refer to the order in which you receive the applications or the order in which people show up?

I'd like to do this, but I have class during registration time. Next year!

No no, Maori is the priestess. I heard she got a boost in her keepaway game in 3.

And to be honest, I originally chose Fire for her because she could spam unblockable launchers. The supers work well with combos off of Maori's top string, though. If I ever actually got serious, I'd probably look for a better Arcana.

I'm thinking about getting AH3. I really liked the first game, it was the first fighting game I took seriously (i.e. beyond mashing the buttons on the MvC arcade cabinets at hotels). I mained Maori/Lang-Gong.
