New laptop does not like my camera's flash card and my old laptop is 200 miles away currently....

Nova Prospect Warden Status: 100%
New Helmet complete
New Jacket Complete

Pictures will be posted once I get my new laptop to read the flash card...

So...Saturday evening good?

Month and a half out folks.

So I'm officially reworking my Combine cosplay to be the Nova Prospekt Warden. I will also be working on a second mask for possibly a Romantically Apocalyptic Cosplay as well, possibly a humanoid lifealope.

Also, be advised, Fox is being weird about Firefly again and shutting down folks for infringing on their copyright by selling Jayne's silly hats.

Dunno about the others, I do know there's always a showing of L4D cosplayers at the Valve Gathering.

Anyway poll time.

When do folks want this? Evening, afternoon or morning? And which day? Saturday or Sunday?

Personally my vote is for evening Saturday.

Holy crap it's march already? Between the planning meetings and stuff going on class and lifewise I forgot...

My apologies. My apologies...

Two staffers (male) seeking staff room-mates for Con (any). Hoping to get a room at the Marriot, Hilton or Crown if they're still available.

E-mail at sefirosusefa@yahoo.com

Need only one more now to register for the room.

Room is full.

Please also note that this Thursday is the live date for ATTENDEE hotel reservations, separate from the STAFF hotel process.

I was aware that staff has a separate hotel registration than attendees, however the information I received on Saturday implied staff went first and then excess rooms from the staff side got rolled into attendee registration, though it was slightly chaotic and information might have gotten muddled.

The meeting on Saturday left me with the understanding we'd have a bit more warning and lead time regarding hotel registration. Did I get the wrong memo? I was under the impression we were looking at February, not less than a week.

My father's been in the hospital since november. Kinda dealing with that, I'll try and get a photo dump up in the next couple of days, not sure if anyone is even paying attention anymore.

Registration / Re: What is the starting price for pre-registration?

I beleive it was 45 at con.

If we had pre-reg up it would be around there till january then for up to 50.
then a price hike in february or march would bring it up to 55.

And nearer the con it would be 60 and 65 dollars till online reg matched at con price.

How about "Want you gone"?

Things I've seen on the walk-throughs I did in November and October.

There is going to be serious congestion everything Hilton side of Stage zero. Remember how we always had that big open overhang area with the glass Bannister. Gone up to the concrete pillars that were in the "middle" of the walkway on both the upper and lower areas.

In several points in that area there are choke points down to about six feet wide.

Registration and stage zero area changes: The two escalators that were behind registration that we always sent people up after registering: Gone. That is just a giant pit. It was going to made into a walkway on the upper floor, but after they took the escalators out they found there was no structural support in the wall behind to actually do that.

Stairs down from stage zero into convention center entryway have been expanded and sort of wrap around where we had tables for events to check in and people to get directions.

glass doors and glass walls in a couple odd places Hilton side on the first floor.

Nothing really notable changed Mariott side from what I saw. If there are any changes I'll update in January.

I looked for a floor map of the convention center to illustrate the changes but found nothing. I'll see if I can find something in January.

redoing my overwatch cosplay to base it closer to the concept art combine overwatch.

Nova Prospect warden perhaps.
