Registration / Re: Registration for Attendee & Hotel FAQ for 2014
« on: April 02, 2014, 10:10:55 PM »
I emailed Reg the other day, in regards to one of my friend buying an individual pass, and then wanting to add onto my group.  However, to my surprise, this process is not "allowed"; meaning I would have to add him into my group, and register him as a completely NEW person (paying the new fee, when he's already paid), while he get's reimbursed his early pre-reg money.  I think that's a bit screwed up in my opinion, since I am adding one less person to the line of thousands on Day 0.  Is this the ONLY way to do it?

hmmm, I did not read that correctly...
I made a group reg, but I did not add them in all at the same time, so right now, it seems as though I am adding them individually.  I have the means to pay it right now, and I have five.

Is it possible for me to clear that group reg all together, and allowing me to start a new one?  OR, can reg make it so that the individuals that I just added in are now groups?

edit: sorry, I don't look carefully enough as well
I found an email to the reg site, so I'll try there first...

I am not sure if this has been answered, but is there a difference this year from getting your passes for Fanime at Clockwork Alchemy?  I do recall last year some people were able to beat the reg line hell of Thursday by going there.

Bushiroad USA will be coming to Fanime, there will be teaching sessions and free play area.  My tournament prizes and format will be put up once I get my prizes in the mail and post pictures (proving I have it -rather than promising it)

if you haven't been on Facebook, or don't know that Bushiroad USA has a facebook page, then you probably don't know they are coming.  They have told me that they are planning some Vanguard tournaments.  Please relay the message to people around you and your playing community

I am pretty sure if you are near and around the con, Nijiya San jose will try to get their shipment of Matcha Kit Kats...  I know I did last year, and I know I spent tons on four or so bags, and gave them all away...

No date yet (although it be at night).
Preliminary Prize is a full box of Booster (whatever that is out recently, or can take ideas like Project Diva, P4U, or SAO -and maybe Vivid Red), and maybe some raffle.

Edit:
So the newest thing I can get without it being delivered past days of Fanime>
Trial Deck>
- Love Live
- Vivid Red Operation
- Hatsune Miku
- And anything older (if I can get my hands on them)

Booster>
- Hatsune Miku
- SAO (supposedly, it's up to the second season)
- And anything older

So basically, I am open to suggestions.  I'll try to get my hands on promo cards for top x, of course, without the help of Bushiroad....

So last year we got like...  30 something for tournaments?  I wonder how many we can still gather in 2013?  Anyone interested?

Gaming / Mahjong ver. 2013?
« on: December 02, 2012, 11:45:41 AM »
I am pretty sure this is still too early to discuss timing for such gaming night, but 2012 had consistent interested in people playing.  I wonder if we could do a gathering and do some kind of free play night.  Or...even in the realm of possibility do a tournament...  Style would be somewhat of a round robin/swiss-esque style 東風 (tonpu) to find the top four, and go into a 半荘 (hanchan)...

But first, I am trying to find interest, and equipment to run at least a gathering...

List of equipement:
Tiles>
- Akita (sorry, they are Saki Mahjong tiles....)

@Akita and @udonnoodle, I'm sorry we didn't meet.  My schedule didn't go according to plan.  My friends told me there were games in the afternoon.  Day 1 was a no go because of reg and a really slow start for me.  I was at Tabletop on day 2 after 10pm.  I was at Tabletop on day 3 just after midnight.

Are you interested in playing and live in the South Bay?  PM me if your interested.

Also I'll be there with my friend and we both play! If you see a Gendo/Hoenheim or Hijikata(from Gintama)/Hoenheim running around, give us a shout. I'll have my set in my car, probably, with a Junk Mat~

I think I saw you on day 3 evening.  You were playing with a guy wearing a black wig.  I know him.  He's really good.

I think I saw you?  Did you play Day 2 and Day 3 at night?  Yea, He was definitely good.  Sorta missed my chance to over take him a couple of times...  We gotta do a better meet, lol

confused...  why does this go to the Events page, when it was never an official event, and a mere suggestion as to what players want to do next year?

This year seemed to lack, a lot...  Like for newcomers, there are cries of awesomeness, but for those who have gone time after time, they were pretty bored, and was unsure what to do -resulting in staying in hotel rooms and doing whatever.

Personally:
- Autograph location is rather...odd...  Like, why Fairmont?  It was definitely intimidating imo
- Two pamphlet, just odd
- Game Room clutter (like during midnight hours...  Like damn, that place got messy.  Feel bad for those staffers cleaning it up...
