I'm thinking of going from 7-whenever to celebrate Pi Day. If you are free, just come by, hang out, eat pie.

I know it's a little last minute for some people, but those that can make it, please do so! Their Key Lime is pretty good :3

Things in the Universe / Your Debut Album
« on: October 13, 2008, 09:26:49 PM »
Your Debut Album

1 - Go to
The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to Random quotations:
The last four words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.

If you want to do this again, you'll hit refresh to generate new quotes, because clicking the quotes link again will just give you the same quotes over and over again.

3 - Go to flickr's "explore the last seven days"
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

Put it all together, that's your debut album.

Mine is:-------------------------------------------
Band: Paul O'Connor
Album: astronomy is about telescopes.

I found this with StumbleUpon.

Cosplay! Construction, Tips, Gatherings, Advice / Cosplays for 2009
« on: May 19, 2008, 10:07:19 PM »
Keeping in the vein of tradition. (DON'T HATE ME!!!!)

Cosplay ideas for 2009? I know it seems a bit early, but Isn't it good to get a few ideas down before you have a chance to recuperate from the last ones?

Here's what I might do if I decide to go to Fanime 09

Speed (Speed Racer)
Jin (Samurai Champloo)

Things in the Universe / Stop Virgin
« on: April 15, 2008, 04:21:14 PM »

(This was Copy Pasta'd straight from 4chan's /b/. Serious Business. I'd do something original, but I'm tired and am planning something atm)

Dammit, /b/, we have a real threat this time. This is more important than mudkipz, taking down Co$, scaring away newfags, or maybe even fapping.

Freedom on the internet is being threatened by Virgin Media's new CEO, Neil Berkett, who called net neutrality a "load of bullocks". He has admitted that Virgin ISP is allowing faster internet access to media websites that are paying Virgin Media, and conversely slowing down access to websites who are not paying Virgin.

This could indefinitely limit freedom of speech on the internet and access to the communications and media that we want. It might not do too much against us right now, but imagine what this could snowball into a few years down the road.

Let's nip this problem in the ass now, /b/rothers. Oldfag or newfag, we won't even have the chans if we don't do something now.
Go to the website and watch the video. There is cleavage.

(end of copy pasta)

this is the cancer that is killing the internet. Save our home.

Pilot Episode aired back in December and the series itself does not start until April 3, 2008.

This is seriously a little frightening and maybe a little calming at the same time.

Check out how much you can drink in your favorite caffeinated beverage before you finally keel over.

Just curious to see if there are indeed enough people interested in doing a Ranma 1/2 Cosplay Gathering at this years shindig?

I've already confirmed that I am going as Tatewaki Kuno.

So, if there are any souls who are as excited at cosplaying it "old-school"

Then lemme know and I'll edit you to this post!

Input is needed pls :3

Here's who's doin' what.

Cosplay! Construction, Tips, Gatherings, Advice / Cosplay Dieting
« on: April 25, 2007, 04:00:21 PM »
As we near this last month in the Zero Hour... There is one singular thing that can hamper, if not ruin, a cosplayers dreams...

Yes... I'm talking about that little bit of extra pudgy junk that you may feel is still floating around your midsection... It was never there before, but now it's all you notice when trying on your costumes...

So, now I ask...

What are your Cosplay Countdown Diet Secrets?

Mine, I am going to take that Kelloggs Special K Challenge... God only knows if I can pull that off or not...  -~_~-

SO! Lemme know your cosplay woes! AND GOOD LUCK!

Just want to see how many people are going to be cosplaying from this series. I am thinking of doing Yuujiro's Nurse and "Eyecatch"* outfits.

If we get enough people doing this, maybe we can have a gathering ^_^

*The goth-loli one that he wears in the commercial break part of the episode.

General Convention Discussion / Help finding an Artist.
« on: May 31, 2006, 09:53:33 PM »
I commissioned a wineglass to be painted with the likeness of "L" from Death Note sunday afternoon. I was going to go back to pick it up, but my roomies personal drama got the best of me and I never made it back to her table.

So here I am with an ordered wine glass floating around an artists commisioned wares. $7 in merchandising missing. And no way to contact this person.

That's where you happy board people come in.

I need her contact info. I know for a fact that she was the only person in the dealers room who was painting wine glasses for $7 a glass. She had blondish hair and also painted Shotglasses.

This is a bit of a longshot but if you people could produce an e-mail or website, that would be absolutely awe inspiring. Many thanks. *Bows deeply*

General Convention Discussion / Downloadable schedule?
« on: May 20, 2006, 09:54:57 PM »
Is there a downloadable schedule that I can print out on the website somewhere?

I know there was one a few years back, that was really helpful in mapping out what I was going to do and when, but so far I haven't seen anything on the site...

Can someone link me?

Ideas and Suggestions / Airsoft or Laser-Tag Events?
« on: April 16, 2006, 01:53:50 PM »
Hmm... Airsoft.

I suggest some sort of Airsoft type of event during the convention.

Maybe on the roof of one of the hotels, or in one of the larger convention halls. That would be pretty cool.

Besides, you can almost picture it... STARS vs The Hellsing Organization.

General Convention Discussion / Fanime '07 Promises
« on: June 16, 2005, 10:17:04 AM »
USe this thread to make a list of promises of what you are going to do (or NOT going to do) at Fanime 2006.

I Promise that I will finally have decent cosplays.
I Promise that I will have a fan panel about the myths, history, and dangers of Glomping. As well as how to do them properly.
I promise that I will not throw myself into a crazy debt in the dealers room...
