Just a simple one, really... Um, when you check in, do you just give them your name and ID? Also, how do you know if you have a hotel room reserved?  Do they send out an email just before the con or just the confirmation email that you get when you register online?

You should have received a confirmation by email when you made the hotel room booking. Your best bet would be to call the hotel you booked with and make sure they got it. The Hilton had mine on record, but they didn't have the details like smoking room or who I was rooming with, for some odd reason.

You can check on your booking on the Fanime page, with the confirmation number you got in your email. It should get all your details.

You pretty much just give them your ID and form of payment (credit/debit card) and you're good to go. I don't think I've ever actually used my confirmation number when checking in, they just ask for your name to look your room up.

You will also need whatever card you used to reserve the room with even if it's not the card you're using to pay with.
