Request for AT-CON REGISTRATION Feedback

Hello folks.  As the (since Fanime is over) ex-Registration second in command, I'm hoping to get feedback from those of you who attended Fanime this year and who may have experienced the new format for At-Con registration.  We had noticed in previous years, with the growth of the convention, the growth in wait times for people, culminating in (from what I've heard) almost 5-6 hour wait times for At-Con registration in 2007.  This year (again, from what I have heard) the maximum wait time was somewhere around 1.5 to 2 hours (I am discounting those people who started getting in line before Registration even opened) and that average wait time during the busiest time of registration was around 30-45 minutes this year.

I know different people had different experiences though and so I would love to hear what anyone might have to say about their experiences with At-Con registration and if you might have any ideas for further improvement.

I actually didn't wait in line at all to reg at around 1 or 2 in the afternoon on Saturday.
Registration was really quick with retrieving my badge. ^^

It was awesome, I might only need 3-4 staff running lines next year if was it as smooth as it was this year.

I got there Friday afternoon, about 5ish, fully expecting a very long line and a very long wait only to discover...no one. Not a single person in line.

Very quick and efficient and I loved it.

Walking by registration on the other days I noticed how fast it went even with the long lines!

Very impressed with the new system, great job you guys.

I was very please I had heard alot about how long the lines could be But i waited about 20 mins. for registration and then about 5-10 to get to the front of the line on sunday :) very nice for a first con expierence

I waited in line for about 1.5 hour on Saturday during noon time but it went by pretty quickly since I had someone to talk to. I would really like if there was a seperate line for the pre registered people though. Although that might become a hassle since the line area would be pretty small for 2 lines.

And group registration would be awesome! :D and the postcards would be good also. but other than that everything went smooth.

The lines for pre-reg and at-con registration were different lines, weren't they... ? >.>

lol yes they are.  we have signs in the front that tell people which direction to go whether they are registered or preregistered...but ppl don't always see them =(

if you are registered and you stood in the at-con registration line, sorry for not getting you out of there to the prereg line =( we tried to inform as many ppl as possible that if you registered online you shouldn't be in the at-con reg line, but i don't know if everyone heard that.
