Hello!!

I'm from Texas, but I'll be in San Jose, CA for an internship starting the 24th. I want to go to Fanime, but I won't know anyone there! I've always gone to cons with friends, so I'm not sure if I should go or not. Any advice or suggestions would be very appreciated!

I'd go if I were you ^^ You may not have your friends there with you, but you can always meet someone there to hang out with!

It's true. This will be my third year going alone. True I see friends from my town at the con from time to time, but I usually end up meeting a lot of people that invite me to join their group to hangout and roam.

You'll find a temporary group to hang out with,
you'll blend right in.

Just get involved or somethin', in tournaments, games of ninja, anything. just gotta put yourself out there.

Oh, trust me, you make friends with people at cons so fast! XD Well, I do, anyways. =P

And if you end up going, you could hang with me! ^^ Some days I'll be at gatherings, but others I'll be free to chill! Mostly Friday. :3 I'll be Misty from Pokemon on Friday. =P

you wouldnt be suprised how many people randomly wander into social situations not knowing a single person there.

look at it this way, if you like anything anime, video games, sci fi or general pop culture stuffs then you'll definitely make friends so long as your not socially awkward or to shy to say hello to fellow fans who might be into the same things you are.

I say go for it and enjoy the adventure. :)
