So, let place all feedback on this thread.

Lets minimize convos and more just throwing out info. (that's mainly for staff:P)

More of a brainstorming feedback thread and less an "explain the reg system to layman" type thread:)

Thanks!

I got a lot of complaints that people didn't know about the online registration through their own computers (Where you could connect to the wifi and just register.)

Maybe if we make that a little more public this year, it would cut down on a lot of at con reg wait.

i think the idea of the badge-puckup & at con registration line this year was good.

it was a less hassle than last year and the line moved more smooth, i think. it was less confusing too.
This year I will Volunteer!

Excited about Karaoke Contest!!

Registration was very smooth this year. I was able to get my badge within a half-hour, and the printed postcards made things a ton easier.

The only compliant I really is the policy on people who don't show up to pick up their badge. I had paid for a friend of mine who couldn't make it due to recent fiancial emergencies, and even though it was registered to the same address and paid with the same PayPal account, they wouldn't give it to me because proper ID wasn't given. In all honestly, there are things that we cannot control outside of our own realm, and at least the best thing they can do is put the badge to good use. At least give it to me, it's not like I'm stealing it or anything. Although I was planning for someone else to use it...

BTW, now that the con is OVER, can someone send the badge to the address that it was registered at? At least that'll do for me.

I picked up my badge Thursday night around 7ish. The wait was very short and I got my badge in probably 10 minutes. Throughout the weekend I didn't see much of a line for registration either, which leads me to believe everything was going quite quickly. A big thumbs up to Reg Staff!

I gotta say I wasn't a big fan of those badge holders though. Maybe if they were more close to the side of the actual badge...?

And here's a suggestion for badges that don't get picked up. How about you let that badge be transferred to the next convention? I had a friend who had pre-regged but didn't get to make it to the con because of family reasons that came up. It's such a waste of ~$50. I think it'd be really helpful if Fanime kept track of who didn't pick up their badge and gave them the option to transfer that membership to the next year.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again here.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE you guys and I was completely impressed with the improvements this year.  My one and only problem is being forced to wear the badge around my neck this year.  My main problem was that it made cosplaying difficult.  I have to stop, take the badge off, hand it to my friend or hide it under my foot or find some other way to hide it before I can let someone take a picture.

Long story short, I really prefer the clip on badges.  But I do understand why you have the lanyards.
Sometimes I'm glad I became a teacher.  Other times I wish I had simply become a ninja.

thanks, i think we can prob use badge clips too. the security feature was the holder. we got complaints that the clip messed up cosplay, but both would be an option:)

Please remember, that using the clips caused alot more people to lose their badges during the convention.

I didn't like the hook-clip thingies on the lanyards, my badges kept slipping off between the hook thing. D:
I'd like this one on the lanyards if they're there next year... (:

I would think those kinds of clips would drop your badge if you happened to lean it against something kinda hard. With the hook ones at least if you accidentally lean against it, the badge wouldn't fall out unless it were nudged up while the hook was open. I was personally quite satisfied with the lanyards.

I dunno, maybe it's just my personal liking of those. The hook thingies... actually did make my badges fall out a few times. Last year, I wore a lanyard with that hook and it didn't slip out at all. :0
But I'm glad at least that we did have lanyards this year.

It was my first time at Fanime and it took me less than 10 minutes ( picked up badge ). So I guess I can't really appreciate it as much as others who've attended in the past. Though I did see how long the line was for registering XD . Also it was a pleasure to see Misa at the pre-registration
