Well, with hotel registration up, I've got another question to ask - I plan on rooming with my sister, but does it cost more to get a room with two beds versus a room with one bed? I'm not sure what they mean with the double/double bedded rooms.

From what I understand, they charge more based on number of people in the room, not necessarily the number of beds. So, if you have 2 people, it'd be the same price whether it's a King or a double/double. If you have 3 people they'd charge a bit more, and then a little more for 4 people.

So, in short: no it doesn't cost more for additional beds, just additional people.

The con hotels are listed as charging per bed actually, so you could have three people sharing a King and it would still be $79, whereas one person in a two-queen bed (though why anyone would do this is beyond me!) would be $109.

This is why people cram more than capacity into their rooms every year, to attempt to save money :/

ETA:
Price breakdown chart from the Hilton section, since it was the first one on the list.

DOUBLE/DOUBLE BEDDED ROOM
  $ 109.00 Single - 1 person
  $ 109.00 Double - 2 persons
  $ 109.00 Triple - 3 persons
  $ 109.00 Quad - 4 persons

KING BEDDED ROOM
  $ 79.00 Single - 1 person
  $ 79.00 Double - 2 persons

As far as I know, DOUBLE/DOUBLE just means a double room with double beds. DOUBLE/QUEEN would be a room with two queens, and DOUBLE/KING would be a room with two kings.

I've heard from different people who rent hotel rooms at cons about their deposit nightmares.  If you take a few moments and plan ahead this should eliminate some of them.

Find out what the policy is about charging a debit/check card.  If they charge and it will be an issue because you did not want that charge taken out of your account beore or at the time you arrive I get money from your roomies ahead of time.  Put it in your bank account before you arrive at the con so your account with have that buffer.
