Rock Band Freestyle

ROCK BAND FREESTYLE BATTLE OF THE BANDS
Presented by Stage Zero And E-Gaming

Thursday:8:00pm (Staff Only)

Saturday 12:00pm

Game will be played on ps3.

Players will be judged on how well they perform rather then who has the highest score.

The judges will take into account tricks that the band does, (I.e behind head playing of guitars, jumps or spins while playing, around the worlds) How well the singer (if there is one) knows the words to the song, and just how entertained they were by the performance.

There will be 3 judges who will give there opinions after each performance, grading them using the "tier grading system"

Metal bass pedal will be used!!!

Bands will sign up with the following info:

Number of members

What instruments will be used (guitar, mic, drums, or bass)

And band name

RULES

*All songs will be unlocked*

*Bands must consist of at the least 3 - 4 members.

*Handle instruments with respect and care

*Players can play on any difficulty

*Songs will be first come first serve. If one band plays a song you cannot play the same song when your turn is up.

* Game will be set to no fail mode

(TIPS)

Try and keep moving the entire time your performing. Don't stand there and look like a zombie while playing

Bounce or head bang to the beat

Get familiar with the song your band has chosen

Some guitar and drum charts although harder maybe be better suited for freestyle. An example of this would be that some of bass charts on hard or expert are just continuous strumming of certain notes, so it makes it look better if your moving around head banging while your shreadin on the guitar.

Don't just look at the screen try and look away at times and look at the judges or the crowd.

The singer doesn't necessarily have to be the only one singing the whole band can join in.

If u have a singer then a lot of the attention will be on him/her.

If you are the singer try and get the crowd into it. (It helps)

If u can cos play it will be a plus

Overall be creative and have fun!!

Code will be used to unlock all Rock Band 2 songs.
Rock Band 1 songs are available, with the exception of those not added to the export key, which are Enter Sandman, Run To The Hills, and Paranoid.
We are limiting this to 10 bands.

The staff only on Thursday will be a staff only event. The staff will face off in a freestyle tournament for the fans, to give them idea of what freestyle is all about.

The 10 band only limit is only set for the freestyle tournament on Saturday.

We will take sign ups at the con to give everyone an equal chance to get in.

The original plan was for each participating department to have their own band, but there are a few departments that wish to collaborate.

Those are fighting words, Ramen. Stage Zero is out to show E-Gaming how it's done. ;)
