Did anyone else suffer under the Marriott elevators evil wrath? If you answered "yes" this thread is just for you. You knew it was coming eventually.

- To the a**holes who pushed all the buttons before exiting the elevators so that we stopped on every single floor. My comment is no, it's NOT funny, it's inconsiderate to people who may or may not be in the elevator heading back to their room because they're not feeling well.

- To the people who think it's funny to jump in an full elevator and make other people nervous. No, it's not funny, or cute, or clever. Be considerate to your fellow passengers.

- Marriott, why in the name of *&%$ did you decide to shut down 2 elevators on check-out day. The BUSIEST day for elevators? You should have been proactive and checked them before check-out day. The stairs become DANGEROUS for people trying to haul their luggage down and any injuries resulting could make the Marriott look unprofessional. I saw no Marriott staff trying to assist with the situation or even taking any interest.

- To the people on lower floors taking the elevators when it's crowded and people need to go up to high floors, understand that every now and then the stairs ARE an option unless you are physically incapable, in which case I understand. Which is another reason for physically capable people to take the stairs every now and then to allow the people who physically NEED the elevator to have their chance. I was on the 16th floor and used the stairs multiple times because I understand other people need the elevator more than I do.

To everyone else who suffered with the elevators feel free to leave your comments. I know you want to, I heard lots of people say they were going to. Here's your chance!   :P

mariot= 26 floors, 2 flights of stairs each- 52 flights of stairs.... i was on the 16th... so 32 x 3 trips...

Honestly, if the Marriot was foolish enough to shut down 2 of their elevators with the knowledge that 26 floors worth of congoers (with tons of luggage and loot) were leaving, they should have given you all added time to check out. It's hard enough getting out of that hotel on time (and yay, they lock you out of your room automatically after checkout time) normally. It's ridiculous to assume everyone can get out on time in that situation.

To their defense, Elevator 4 broke yesterday. I was one of the 14 people who got trapped in there for an hour. I don't know why the other one wasn't working. But I totally agree the wait time was pretty stupid. I was on 20th floor. :/ It took me a good 45 minutes to get down to the lobby. I kept hearing one of the two working elevators zoom past our floor.

The Marriott did not disable/shut down 2 of their elevators - they were in an unusable status for today, which is very unfortunate.
