FanimeCon 2008 Day 1

So how did it go? What did you do? Who did you hang out with? What crazy stuff happened? What did you buy? What cosplay did you see?

I was hanging out with Nick and the rest of the Hyphy Hawks! lol, I got free Energy drinks, yeah, had like 3! I bought an Hellsing necklace, an Alucard figure, a little yoshi button. I saw a Captain Hans and Schrodinger cosplay! I was so happy! Had so much fun for day one. Oh I saw Jesus!

Ok Day 1 Friday. I setup dealers room. Bought Six Code Geass PVC Figures and six Cute key chain figures. 2 Of Code Geass and 4 of My lucky star girls  ;D Total money spent for day one "60$". not to bad if I say so.

Lol I did alot of walking :) I was walking the floor like 50 times looking for people that were supposed to be coming this year and managed bump into only one of them.  Aside from that I found some nifty restaurants close by on first street, and then I went to the rave.

Today was pretty good. Its my third Fanime, but the first time that I've gone on a Friday. Met up with some friends who I hadn't seen for a year. Walked around awhile, went into the artist alley. Got in the line for AN Cafe tickets, but decided the line was too long. Then I went to compete in the karaoke contest. Sadly, I didn't make it to the finals, but I had fun and it was a great experiance.(btw, I was the girl in all black gothic lolita who sang the Rose of Versailles ending.) Saw the ending of ReDeath which is always fun. Also, I forgot about the swap meet ><! Oh well, there is always next year. Looking forward to tomarrow!

Friday was alright, although I'm saving myself for Saturday when I really need to make my presence known :)

Made the Final Table at the Friday Hold'em Tournament, placing 7th out of 27. Came back from two all-ins (caught a Queen on the River & caught trip 5s on the flop), which was enough to get me into the Final Table. Since I will be at the Masquerade tomorrow, I'll probably won't be in the Saturday Tournament, but if there is a Sunday one I'll see to it that I'll be there.

I bought a very nice Belldandy Figure, and that was all from Dealers Room on Friday. Spent some of the rest on gaming; god I'm addited to those WMMT3 machines :)

I wandered around and barely got recognized, scoped out artists alley/dealers hall/game room. Ran into some people I knew from last fanime, and then RAVED! \o/ Fun times.

well for me its still going. im still at stage zero volintering and right now we ware seting up for speed run. if your awake come down and chill with us. dont know what speed run is thats fine come on down and find out

woke up at 7, got in line at 8, waited 1 hour then got to write on that registration paper, waited another hour for them just to print my id/badge and have people that were after me get their ids ahead of me. got sick around noon and came back to 4 to check out the dealers room D: and bought a headcrab... saturday will be better :D

arrived at 6pm, wandered aimlessly, got food at 7 from the chinese place around the corner, met up with NickZebra? at about.....8ish? did the most randomest things with em and watched them get drunk later that nite.

Got to the Fairmont around 12:30pm.

Waited for an hour and a half before my friend arrived so we could go into our room and put our stuff in.

Went around until 4 or 5, switched bages since heavy laptop is heavy.

Then, bought a couple of things at the Dealer's Hall, and spent time in the gaming room. I flatlined a song on Para Para =/

Then, came to the swap meet and got the best deals evar:
- Super Eurobeat CDs from Eurobeat King = $10 each
SEB at Kinokuniya = $40+ each including tax
- A trance CD = $8
- Used Amplitude copy = $3
- Used Contra 4 = $18. But I only had a $100 that I could use, and chose to get only $80 back.  The guy selling, to make up for the difference, threw in one of those DDR sampler CDs.

well i have been helping out on the night shift so right now in the last 40 hours i only got a 10 min nap and a 1 hour 30ish min nap. still wandering amisley by my self when not helping out  :-\ and ran into some ppl i would call friendly acantis i guess. so far its been a intresting experince with ups and downs. the day times are kinda sad 4 me but at night its better as i got stuff to do and the shift superviser i was helping was very cool
