Yes, Gin even got a seated position and was called a genius because of it. Not sure about Yachiru, but I've always felt like she got the position due to Kenpachi. It would be interesting to see her in battle, though.

That seems to be a prevailing speculation.  I rather like the idea myself, though I wonder if some of it may also relate back to tiny adorable flashback Nanao -- you don't send children into battle, after all.

I have to say that I agree with Jangular and Chaosbark here, Wren. The scene seems to be setting up for the perfect set-up.

And I am all for the Vizard coming in and saving the behinds of the people who once rejected them.

Hmmm...ever notice that the strongest people sometimes have the biggest weakness? Hence the saying, "The bigger they are, the harder they fall?"

And who says the Vizard are weak?  None of us know the limits of their power. As far as I recall, I can hardly remember their shikai (if they've been shown at all), much less a bankai.

This isnt anything against the Vizard.  I'm just saying that if the supposed strongest characters need the saving but the weaker characters had their fights just fine and dandy, its just irritating even if it makes sense story wise

I agree with this.
Sometimes it's good story for a critical moment, but done poorly it actually wrecks the characters.
*hopes that Ukitake and Shunsui don't end up looking like crud in these fights*

I havent been keeping up with the manga becuase I know that it will only piss me off, but hearing the term " bind" I think more of to..'seal' (like FF) as in to stop one form using a particular.

Maybe it will keep Ichigo from using his main character powers? God I could only hope.
As much as I despise the way this show has gone for the past 200 episodes, someone having to save ichibo would redeem it almost completley
