Badge question

I'm new to Fanime and I want to know when do we have to pick up our badges? I live outside of california and can i just get it the day of the convention?

Anyone can post other question too. Thanks!

You may register and pick up your badge anytime registration is open from Thursday evening on. There will be a special line for those of you that have pre-registered or participated in early registration.

We have yet to set the hours, but from 2009, they were as follows:
Thur  5pm-8pm
Fri, Sat, Sun 8am-8pm
Mon 8am-12noon

This being your first con I would highly recommend you come on Thursday evening to pick up your badge. If you can afford it, get a hotel for that night (since you're out of CA) so that you can enjoy all of the Thursday night events. Besides that, Ewu covered all of the essential info.

Actually, looks like they may mean Thursday, the 27th in the evening.

Plan to get ours at that time if possible, assuming traffic after work does not cause grief.  Torn between leaving right after work (I get out at 4:30 and my SO gets out sooner) and waiting until around 6 at this point.

Personally, I pick mine up thursday. the day BEFORE the Con really starts. You get to hang out in the line and mingle. Meet new people, and even find some you know.

THE LINE IS LONG! But dont let it fool you, it goes quite quick once registration opens.

There is no need at'all  to be nervous lol. but FanFicGuru is right; being out of California, it may be wise to see if you can afford a hotel for thursday. unless of course you happen to have friends out here

hahahaha if your talking to ME, I have been going to Fanime for three years. 2010 will be my fourth. Its a lot of fun, you wont have ANY need to be nervous. Although my first year I was quite so, but things will be fine.
