Can you use Japanese characters on your badge?

I have always wanted to do so, but was hesitant.  :-\

the easy answer is no.

Our reg system supports it, but currently it will not be printed on the badges. Any special characters will either be substituted with a box, your fan name omitted entirely, or reg staff may even substitute it with whatever they find is amusing at that point in time (being post 40 hours plus of badge cutting, editing, screening, laminating and overall insanity). We haven't exactly decided yet.

So yah....don't use them.
