Hey girls hey! Dont hate on M. Night Shyamalan! I thought that Lady in the Water was a beautiful piece of work. The Sixth sense and his other works were pretty awesome too, sure some of them have flopped but give it a chance. M Night is actually a BIG fan of the Avatar Series so he could do it some justice. Though I am amused that Patel is playing Prince Zuko.

Also, It peeves me that people will be like "OMG AMERICAN LIVE ACTION ANIMUS, ITS SOOO GOING TO SUCK LOLOLOLOLOL LETS BASH ON IT BEFORE IT EVER DEBUTS, OMG JAPAN DOES IT BETTER" Honestly Shut Up and wait till it comes out, go watch it and then go complain about it. I personally am looking forward to the American versions of death note, At least it will give a better representation than the crappy Japanese version. Japan honestly has done some of the WORST adaptions in Anime. Higurashi live action, Deathnote, and a few others were just so bad that I am pretty sure the american counterparts will do much better because there is more production value and a hell of a lot of money put into it. Though I can honestly say Dragon ball and Chun li were pretty bad for the US remakes.

That and Zac Efron will make an Amazing Light, Hes a fan of the series C:

Also, Transformers isn't a Japanese anime IIRC, Also Enjoyed that movie, its what I pretty much figured if Autobots and Decepticons were to be in the real world.

I'm not bashing, I'm just saying I'm scared. Although after watching his movies...we kind of have the right to "BASH" (not hate) on M. Night Shamalan. I'm not bashing him as a director, because the Director tells the actors how they act. It's him as a writer and producer I have a problem with. I mean, actors can only do the best with what they're given. And if they're given crap, no matter how much you shine that turd up...it's still a turd. I dunno, I just don't appreciate any of his work.

ANYWAYS, enough of talking about the "hack"...

What about the live action Evangelion movie? I'm more scared that it will never happen. Especially with the "Rebuild Series" being done. SInce those are in production, it's like the live action version doesn't NEED to be done anymore, therefore, wont.

Oh! That reminds me about the Bioshock live action. Juan Carlos Fresnadillo is in charge of the movie, he directed 28 Weeks Later. Can anyone tell me whether that movie turned out ok? Because I want to be sure the Bioshock LA is in hands and if he messes it up.....

That's one of my favorite horror movies, you should watch it sometime.

I'm not afraid of live action but more of a disappointed.

Live-action that I dislike are:
Higurashi
Negima
Dragonball (both new and old)
and few others.

Live-action that I liked:
Detroit Metal City
Great Teacher Onizuka
Initial D
---
Street Fighter
Mortal Combat
Double Dragon
Super Mario Bro.
I know some weren't successful but I still enjoyed them.

If given the right backing and production team, I'd like to see Castlevania and Metroid movies.

I cant believe you guys forgot about Tomb Raider [ Lara Croft ]

I'm sure fanboys appreciated this movie. :P

Games, Friends & Fanime oh my! :D

Meh, never liked the Tomb Raider games to begin with.  The movie just screamed Indiana Jones knock-off to me (which is sorta what the game was supposed to be).  If I wanted to watch an Indie knock-off, I would much rather watch National Treasure or Angels and Demons.  It's sorta like making a movie on Max Payne, even though the game was supposed to be a mash-up of every single cop movie cliche.  Hollywood just needs to make better decisions on adaptations.  I have such low hopes for the GL movie being made, mainly because of the way the costumes would look ridiculous in live action, but also how impossible it would be to incorporate the rich cast and condensing the rich back stories into 2.5 hours.

P.S.  To all the people that still want a Halo movie.  Copy/paste Starship Troopers and take out the plot.

But I must hate on M. Night. He is just bad. I don't think he would be competent enough to capture the feel of Avatar. I'm not against the movie though, just what M. Night will do to it. I can care less if he is a fan. Oh and all the actors for the main cast just look horrible.

As for Japanese Live Action, yes it is all horrible. The Japanese just don't have that much folks with any acting talent. But a lot of those movies are so horrible that they are good. Take this chart for example:

A lot of Jmovies (that I've seen), such as L Saves the World, fall under So-Bad-It's-Good. These movies are fun to watch and laugh at. And who could resist watching L drive around in a Crape Truck.

I believe they tried those.

Castlevania I think was canceled, and I'm not sure on Metroid. I thought Charlize Theron was supposed to be Samus, I'm probably wrong though.

These are also known as "Train Wreck" movies (Horrible to see, but you can't look away once you've peeked).

Well, speaking of live action, how about Prince of Persia?

Dany

I am torn.

I see this Captain Harlock fake-trailer and I think "I'd love to see this but with my luck someone would screw up the other 180ish minutes, so maybe I'm better off with this 2 minutes and change...":

(it's in Spanish, but there are English subtitles...and I could throw a shoe at their wig department, but otherwise kind of pretty, if not a bit dark..)

2012 Costumes (or so we hope!)
Ayukawa, Miime, Oscar, Yuria, D'Eon

Well Tomb Raider was pretty good. In fact I was a lot like you before I saw it. I thought it was a knock off. BUT It deff had its own story. Indiana was more the Jack of all trades, clumsy (mainly from the people who accompanied him on his journeys). Laura is more the "I am Doing it MY WAY!" hero haha. I would AT LEAST give the movies a shot. If you dont like the first one, Tomb Raider is not for you.

The Dan Brown flicks however are NOT Indiana knock offs those are based off facts that may or may not be true. The DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons.  However Max Payne should have been left alone -.- I totally agree with you there

I would so watch that live action if it was well done/ directed.

I would be scared of a 2nd Dragon ball Z movie (the 1st was torture enough) and for some reason I don't see a Blue Seed live action as being that great..it would probably be hand in hand with the ninja vixens mixed with rubber tentacles... :o

An awesome live action I Would like to see made: senjou no Valkyria, kaikan Phrase (but it would definately have to reflect the manga NOT the anime)

Starship Troopers has Plot!?!

If you ever watched Starship Troopers Chronicles you'll see that it resembles more towards StarCraft then Halo. Or if you get the chance to watch Starship Troopers 3 you'll see that the Federations new weapon looks like the Golaith unit.

Ps: Don't even bother to watch the second movie.

The original Starship Troopers movie was awesome, Hated the second movie, and never saw the third.

Semi B-movie, with general plot line of Terran Forces vs. Alien War ensues.

Then of course video games like Star Craft and Halo come out.

Could be worse.... Like I dunno.... James Cameron's AVATAR.  :P

lame. LoL
