Pre-reg Badge Pickup

Hi everyone,

I won't be in San Jose for Fanime weekend until Friday night, so I'm wondering if it's possible for a friend of mine to pick up my pre-registration badge for me on Day Zero. I realize it's kind of a stretch, but I may sign some papers or give her my print-out and my ID.

unfortunately no, the only person that may register on your behalf is a group leader, otherwise, you must be there in person.

Aw, that's too bad. I'm a bit disappointed I'll be missing Day Zero, myself... I've always enjoyed the excitement. Thank you, ewu!

Day Zero is usually Thursday. You may missed much, but most of excitements are on Saturday and Sunday.

Day Zero is just the Thursday before the actual convention and attendees who had pre-registered come to pick up their badge(s). There's not much more than that, except some people do cosplay on this day and I believe there's also a swap meet...

I personally like it because I've always gone with several friends and we are waiting in this atmosphere of pre-Fanime excitement. XD

yeah... correct me if i'm wrong, but the deadline for pretty badges recently occured, so if you register now you will be getting a slightly less pretty one, but still in a nice plastic cover with a clip.

Hmm~~ depends on what you mean by slightly less pretty. Cos I gotta say, the laminated ones you get for pre-registration are pretty awesome. The early registration/at-con ones are pretty much.... uh, standard, I guess. ;D But regardless, they're still all pretty awesome. :D
