Who out there loves to cosplay? Well if your going to fanime, you must love cosplay-or at least the cosplay panels.
I was talking with Silverxplayer, and said, why aren't there more panels for those that want to know how to start up cosplaying? There's so much to wonder about. Between finding items and using them for cosplay or how to make the cosplays fit your body, and even altering patterns.

With two very differently shaped people wanting to lead this panel, we want to be able to not only help con-goers start their cosplaying hobbies, but do it well within their budgets and their sizes. There's lots of options for everyone to start off, even for those who don't think they can cosplay, whether it's because they don't think they fit into the stereotypical "anime girl/guy" or their budget is their limiting factor.

Let's all have more fun cosplaying together!

I think there was a panel like this last year, at least I remember going to one.  It included finding items at thrift stores, goodwill, etc and making alterations.  I'm sure I'll think of the group name and/or website that they listed in the panel at some point and I'll try to mention it here.  But definitely a panel I'd be interested in attending.

I know that it's been done before, and if you find that group that did it let me know ^^ i just wished that i went to some of the panels when i was starting to cosplay. x.x.

Okay Am not sure where to post this but I have been looking for cosplay help to no avail. someone was going to help but that didn't work out. so.. I know this is kind of late, and short of being the explosion of HK paraphanelia I would like to actually participate as some character from an anime or game and am desperately looking for connections. if anyone knows anyone willing and able for a reasonable cost or trade or something please let me know. I don't sew i don't do anything remotely capable talented wise with my hands. anyhow that's my two cents.

If you haven't already, you should go to the Cosplay! Construction, Tips, Gatherings, Advice area.  When you post, maybe you could indicate what anime, games you like/watch and would like to cosplay from.  Also, if you don't want to go as far as wearing wigs, maybe your hair color too, for some suggestions.  Do you want to cosplay male or female characters?  Give more information and you'll get more advice.
