WHAT:  PAJAMA PARTY (DAY ZERO DANCE)
WHEN:  THURSDAY, MAY 26, 2011 8PM to 2AM
WHERE: SAN JOSE CONVENTION CENTER - J BALLROOM

The Day Zero Dance will be kicking off on thursday night at 8PM
DJs Strider Hanzo, PeterLo, and eHash will be giving you samples of the great music you will be jumping around to for the rest of the weekend.

Pajamas are optional.
Cosplay is ok.

This should be your day zero center of social activity; away from intimidating other mid-week guests of the hotels, and providing a fun filled environment for people to meet and greet.

I assume you need your badge already to get in?

I only ask because I really want to go, but my mom's group leader and she doesn't see the point of waiting for 3+ hours in the Day 0 line when it could take 5 minutes on Friday afternoon.

Also, these are three of the DJs I really want to be present for. D:

Spread the word to come out.  We are tentatively staffed to go till 2AM, but will close early if attendance is not good.
In the past it has shut down before 12 and being the 12 to 2 DJ, I'm hoping people will come out.

eHash

what will get more people to come out?
we are limited in what we can do (ie: we can't provide food), however if there's something that might attract your attention, please give us a heads up.

Tsu

It should definitely be promoted at the badge pick-up. I didn't know anything about this last year. Perhaps a flyer in the bag or just signs up in the mega-line would get the word out?

Badges are required for Day 0 swap meet, I'm almost sure of it.
Fanime attendee since 2004
Swap meet staff - 2014
Swap meet co-chair - 2015

officially, badges are required for all fanimecon events.  remember this is done for the safety of "members".  displaying a badge means that you have id'd yourself to someone and identified an emergency contact.

If glow sticks are for sale more people might come. People like me who have no clue were to buy them have a hard time getting them XD

Those are all the ones off the top of my head that I know sell glowsticks. Party City is the only one I know of that sells the LED ones, though.

I would have given websites as well, but I didn't think they'd be useful this close to con.
