Ha, they'll probably wont call Orochimaru by his name, they'll probably just call him "Snake". dont they usually use computers to change the movement of their lips?

but it also might take place of DBZ and Sailor moon, because really, who didnt start out with DBZ and/or Sailor Moon? Naruto might just turn into an americanized anime that little kids will start out with.

but nonetheless, it sucks ass.

I keep thinking about human chess. (Can we say obsessed?)
I'm going to go ahead and make a chess board - I'm sure I have enough materials. I'll experiment over the summer with friends, and then maybe next Fanime, I'll grab a bunch of people to play.

Hellangel, i have some info for ur list.
I will be dosu again, and maybe someone else, havent decided yet,
Waruiko will probably be Jiraiya again,
Nav will probly be Kiba again,
and Zst-Xkn, who hasnt joined the forum yet(to my knowledge) will probly be Gaara again.
We all just need to improve our costumes.
I like the idea of a human chessboard. We dont need to make one tho. We could just use chalk, or tape, or something. We could make it there. We just need to have everyone agree to be ordered to different squares, which might be difficult. Ppl are stubborn, in general.

But making the chessboard and bringing it would be cleaner. And easier.
I get free poster paper. I can use that. and maybe just scribble colors or something on the different squares.

U'd need to tape it together, and make sure that all the sqaures are lined up, and it would get annoying. I think that chalk would be the easiest.

We could have eight pawns the same, for each side, and two of each of the other things that there are two of. And random ppl for the queen and king, and then the same for the other side, except with different ppl. We could have Konoha on one side, and all others on the other side.

as for human chess:
it will be very hard to control people. VERY hard to organize, plus not all people can play. as mentioned by serajwl, we'll also need a large area, and we know that the san jose police department hates us wandering around in their "public" spaces =P

not that this would improve anything, but what if we play Go? the object of the game is to surround and collect territory...*imagines players being surrounded and attacked*

Bah. You people and your bursting-my-bubble talk.
I've already started making the chessboard, JIC I can gather up people who'd want to play.
Not all the same pieces have to look the same - we could just have signs for who is what. That way, we could have, for example, Naruto, Kiba, Orochimaru, Kin, Temari, Sandaime Hokage, Itachi, and Kisame as pawns on one side, and others on another.

For the actual playing, we could maybe have two experienced players on a smaller board (or maybe finding some way to be above the larger board) and doing the actual playing.

If enough people are interested, I'll scope out where we can play. Got little less than a year to plan it, so not so many worries.

I lost a game of chess to a nine year old. Badly. Really, she had a strategy and everything and totally set me up. I couldn't even check her. Needlyess to say I'm not going to be giving any directions.

And how are we going to conduct this game? Having (what is it? 16) people all coordinating a single game of chess would get kinda confusing and rough... *reads post above* Okay, good. Nevermind.

I dunno about everyone else, but I'm going to try and organize it. It'll be probably my last Fanime for a coupla years (which all depends on which college I get into), so I wanna do something odd and totally out of character (which would be organizing something big).
