Gatsby

When I saw Elfen Lied I really connected with it emotionally. I fell in Love with Lucy. Same thing with Mahoromatic and Chobits.

Golden State Warrior

I connected with School Days. Kinda made me hesitate 'bout getting a girlfriend for a while. You can say it really reinforced my contentedness of being single.

School Days is incredibly realistic. A good handful of people I know, however, are either attracted by its drama, or avoid it like the plague.

How come every thread like this just becomes people listing series they like?

The series that I really connected with... hmmm...

Mushishi definitely. Noein as well, which was an amazing series that no one seemed to care about. Although most people would never admit this, Popotan. Popotan's story and how the characters act and why they do what they do made me really think a lot about how things work, and why I do things I do. It's kinda strange. Escaflowne. Van's character reminded me of myself quite a bit when I was in my later teens. Full of energy, retarded as hell, but just trying to figure out where I belong and why I do anything at all.

Dunno, comics do much better at this than cartoons do, because then I could list I's and Furuba, but their cartoon counter parts, not so much.

A series that will always remain as part of my introspection is Someday's Dreamers. The show really puts a great approach to magic as a normal thing, and the consequences/system workings behind it. However, it's almost to the point where you can see how somewhat satirical it is in relation to other policies behind powers in general, and how they are used.

The whole philosophy, "Magic can't change everything automatically for the better", and "It doesn't matter what exactly was gained, but how you gained it" are real lessons that I keep in mind at all times. You can simply feel its blissful simplicity in understanding the day-to-day norms of society.

I actually avoided it for a while, but curiosity got the best of me. I forgot why I avoided it, but, in your opinion, why do the others avoid it?

Hokuto no Ken, and I'm pretty serious about this. I'm probably the saddest man alive.
