yes, i don't see a forum for this, so i'll ask here.

I want to sell my fanart at 07.

i'll be 17 by the time 07 rolls around.
i apparently have to get a "seller's permit"...

i have no idea how, or if this is even ok.

also, isn't selling fanart illegal without the permission of the owner/creator?
if so, how come people sold naruto and other series fanart?

Kazuko

I think its okay to sell fanart

but if its another persons fanart its then considered bad~

you have to email the staff incharge of artists alley

yeah, I think fanart is okay as long as you don't claim the characters as your own.

here's seller's permit info:

It's alright to sell fan art as long as you aren't ripping off an exact illustration. If you, say, have drawn off of the Sailor Moon illustration of all of the girls in their bathing suits and chibi-chibi reaching for a drink, THAT'S illegal.
But say you drew a picture of I dunno.. Chibi-Usa and Hotaru building a sandcastle on top of Usagi all of the sudden. That's original art and you're allowed to sell that. . . technically.
The best example is Doujinshi. They're already created characters, drawn by other people for other situations. So yeah... just make sure your fan art isn't a direct copy of an existing illustration and you'll be fine.
