I think every night, I'll play a different mix. One night I'll do anime remixes, another night, I'll do Super Eurobeat. And one night, ill do Internet Music hits and memes.

hey guys for those who don't know me, i'm strider hanzo, 2nd to Reign for dance.  i was absent from the dance since i did the music for stage zero, but this year is a hefty double duty year for me.  i'll be at the dance, having my various sets to go around, along with doing music at stage zero, so don't be afraid to say hi. please add further comments and suggestions into either thread we got going here, (this one and the one Reign started)

i may not be as good as the other guys (technical wise) but i do have music to rock the house down, anyone here go to yaoi-con 08? i was the last dj of the night, got no negative feedback so i must have did alright in my first live run at it.

none the less, it'll be a fun time waitin to happen, and if the genres weren't covered last year, they will be for sure this year...

Havent totally decided on it yet...but for sure, the internet tunes really work at these kinds of events. Good to have a mix of many genres for the dance.

As a point of information. If the Dance became what we would consider a rave, we would no longer have the event.

it is like a Rave, honestly, people call it "The Fanime Rave" up until i like went to view the events THIS YEAR on the site, i thought it WAS called the Fanime Rave. i mean either way it is one of my favourite events.

:D when i was looking through the events this year, and did NOT see "The Rave" i freaked out until i found out it WAS the dance lol... i though that coz it was right under The Black and White Ball... so i thought it ment "The Black And White Ball Dance" lol

but yeah MY friends call it The Rave- and i think others do too lol.

yeah they are simalar, but yeah they are WAYYYYYYYY differant, they play electronic kind of music... i mean they both use glowsticks... but it is funner than a real rave ^-^

Music is close, but we do not call it a rave and prefer that you do not. Raves are associated with that wonderful drug E....and so u keep on calling it that and drugs happen, then the event will be terminated.

Plus, don't break the glow sticks.....glow fluid on the new carpet is another reason why the room may be shut down.

Keep that in mind while ur having fun, cuz if you have too much fun then it'll be the last year that it happens.

Its been made perfectly clear that anime/japanese music is absolutely NOT allowed at Anime/Japanese cons

Even the idea of having two anime/two techno dances or even 3 techno/1 anime is just selfish!

We must learn to compromise and have ALL techno. Hell, it isnt like ravers can just go to a club every weekend while you get two or thee a year! You Japanophiles make me sick!

..at least the feeling at SakuraCon. Even ASKING for anything other than techno gets you flamed by one hedonistic drunk who has three different user names to agree with him. But I think hes actually a plant by the staff.

..anyway, it seems to be similar at all cons these days..though not to that extent not yet anyway.

Well in Sakura cons case its because they are Nazis who only care about money and have a general "F- you" attidute towards the attendees who actually go to the con for the Anime and Japanese culture.
Even if it goes against thier Vic Mignoya-ass kissing-roman catholic-in reality because guys cant tollerate anything even remotley gay-"family friendly" riche.

As for Fanime, I didnt go to the dances ( the 24 hr game room stole my soul) so I dont know if they are ALL raves or not. I just assumed they were becuase the SC way of doings seems to be spreading. If that isnt the case, then I love Fanime even more.

and HONESTLY IN MY HONEST OPINION The Fanime Dance is funner than a real rave, there is nothing gross going on, and no one is sweating out drugs they took over the night- IN OTHERWORDS I FEEL SAFER! :D

and in a way it is SIMALAR TO a rave, BUT like it is monitered more like there is NO way some dumb butt can do drugs, and get it shut down for those who wanna have a SOBER good time. and they dont have the wanna be club kids. well there ARE MANY more differances but i am doped up coz i am sick and have a bad sinus headache, IF I THINK OF MORE I WILL SHARE THEM WHEN I AM OF A BETTER STATE OF MIND!  :-[

and sandstorm is not techno then? well what is it then pop? clearly its techno :| a majority of the set lists are usually techno mixes or anime/game mixes for the last year I want to see some clean transitional variety of hip hop, funk, 80's and sure some solid club beats

anyway, while the fanime dance is fun there has been a few things I have seen that rovers usually had to get rid of like people having sex on the floor or being too inaproriate. I have danced with drunk people at the dances at fanime so really not everyone is sober, Most club kids arent drunks or druggies so wtf is your deal about that? You really dont know the people at the dances plus its dark so you cant tell if they are drunk or on drugs really untill you smell it on their breaths.

anywho Im reaally hoping for the best at the fanime dances!
