I can't begin to fathom the discussion gone through that I missed, but for what I consider: It is just no good to show the whole section. Sort of like censoring (depending on what the individual considers ‘showing too much’), but in a more stylish manner- tilting and focusing your image to show what you need to, and then some. Innovation in either choosing or arrangement is key to not have yourself represented by some anonymous panties.

This is going to be another tough one. I went through all the pictures in my image folders, and not a single one showed up. A quick search on Danbooru turned up a lot of stuff I'd rather not search through to find characters I recognize...

Searching for himopan tag and the name of a character or series I like finally turned up something, though, so I claim:

Nerine of Shuffle!

It's funny, I thought Shuffle! was a pretty awful anime overall, but I keep finding myself picking characters from there because there's enough fanart of the right kind.

I'm also experimenting with alpha channel 24-bit PNG imagery this time.

Ok, decided to finally update after being lazy for the last couple of days. (actually im pretty pooped from going out and working)

Lise/Liese/Riesz (リーã,¹) - Is a princess of the Wind Kingdom of Rolante from Seiken Densetsu 3 (Secret of Mana 3). I still consider SD3 as one of the best games of all time (lined with Chrono Trigger, FF6 and the Dragon Quest and Y's series). It's a shame that it never reached the US.

Age: 16
Weapon of Choice: Spear
Specialty: Support magic with buffs and debuffs.
Moe: 120%

I always liked Riesz since the day I got my hands on the game back in 95, she was a balanced character with a cute yet courageous personality. She was the most balanced character in the game, with the right balance of agility, magic and power.

Reisz is actually considered to be one of the most popular characters in the Super Famicon era of Squaresoft, with still a fairly big cult following in Japan. Many fan pics can be found, but she now generally has a more voluptuous body compared to the original artwork where she had more of an agile lean build. Which IMHO confuses me, but I'm not hating.

Ah, the fanart effect. (See: Tifa Lockheart) Every character gets bigger boobs, on average, in fanart. Up to twice the size they were originally. I haven't determined yet whether this applies to loli characters or not. For characters that date back before loli became the craze it is now, the effect is more pronounced. I think the "loli effect" is a countering force.

I am firmly against this.  All considered, the list of moes is almost entirely filled with innocuous content.  All but a handful or so might possibly be construed as NSFW.  But these are few and not outright raunchy, so they can still be tastefully avatared, IMO.  We must discuss this in person.
